All I want for Christmas, is my 2 front teeth and an A on my project!!

Well, what I think I should deserve on this project is probably a grade that everyone wants too, which obviously is an A. Hopefully whatever we think we deserve on this project is what we actually going to really get. Well of course many of us going to feel that we deserve an A but sadly I know we may not all going to get what we want. Since the requirements for an A was listed on the blog requirements as putting extensive work into the project and a project that actually made a difference in the world, I felt like I have put a lot of effort into this project and actually changed the world for the better.
With the criteria sheet stating that an A project is a project that mostly everybody agree with and someone that have put extensive work into their project. With all the comments I received from my classmates, all the comments have been positive. Comments such as that my project is original and nobody else has chosen to do my topic, which is against drinking and driving. Also other comments such as my ideas for diminishing drinking and driving seem to be effective and good ideas. So the only thing I could judge from to know whether or not if my classmates agree with my project is from comments that some of my classmates posted on my blog. Also I did receive some comments when I was passing out the flyers. Those comments were all good and positive comments that the tips are really useful and effective. Since I would not know personally if the tips are really effective because trying these tips means that I would have to drink and drive home to see if I actually sober which would go against everything I am fighting for this project. Some of my friends said they would actually try these tips the next time they drink and would tell me the results. Some of my friends said they have tried some of these tips before and said it has helped them sober up when they needed to. Therefore, I trust these tips from the website because it is given by expertise which should have done research and proven their tips before they actually post it up on the internet. Besides people got nothing to lose if they tried these tips out, it would could only help and benefit them. So in that area of mostly everybody agreeing with my project that it improved the world, I felt that I have done well in that area.
Even though I cannot dramatically change the world with my project, I felt that I have made a difference in the people lives that have received my flyer. Hopefully those people have put my tips into effect and have chosen not to drive when they drink. Making a difference in the world does not always necessarily mean changing the lives of the economy but it could even be helping and changing the life of one person. Just even one person but hopefully it is more than one person have put my tips into effect or took my advice not to drive home when drunk, that could be consider making a difference in someone’s life. My tips made a difference in their life by who can predict the future so if my tips prevent them from driving home drunk it could have save them from a fatal accident or could even from an early grave. They may not know it but just one simple action or using one little tip can actually save their life one day. Also over the holiday I have done another thing that has contributed to drinking and driving. Since I visited my hometown over Thanksgiving break, my friend told me that Honda was passing out red ribbons to their customers. Customers that were purchasing new cars over the holiday received a red ribbon with their car so they would not drink and drive. Since the holiday everybody seems to drink more that was why Honda decided to pass out the red ribbons over the Thanksgiving break. So I then called them to see if I can help them pass out the red ribbon since passing out red ribbon was a main part of my project. They were glad to have students involve in their project, because it showed them that even young kids are really against this problem with drinking and driving. I stayed at Honda for a couple of hours on Wednesday since that was right before the Thanksgiving holiday. It seemed like passing out red ribbons to grown up that actually do drive was way more effective than schools passing it out to kids in junior high. Red ribbon week in Junior high I felt like was not really effective because one thing most students have not started to drink yet much less know about alcohol. So saying no to alcohol of course was going to be easy for them but a college students that are more expose to alcohol, it would be much more difficult for them to say no to alcohol. Passing out ribbons at Honda went really well. I thought some grown up would not care about this problem because they don’t drink anymore but taking care of themselves was not what they worry about. One parent told me that she have kids mainly boys that are in a fraternity, so one of her biggest fear is waking up in the morning with one of her sons have drink too much and had a car accident. Since statistically states boys in college have the greatest chance of being in alcohol related accident, I did not blame her one bit of having that fear. At Honda everybody did not hesitate to take the ribbon or was against the idea of red ribbon because I thought the grown men and women may feel like they are old enough to decide for themselves whether or not they want to risk their life. Since accidents and especially death is unpredictable, there should be nothing wrong in trying to prevent death when we can. Even though I may not know the outcome of how my project is really going to turn out but putting all my effort and hard work into this project is the best thing that I can do for my project. Hopefully hard work pays off.
Also the other thing that factor into what A project, is the extensive work that is put into the project. So dealing with effort, I felt like I have put a tremendous amount of work into this project and in addition put a lot of time into this project. From calling and trying to contact MADD and SADD sponsors for Xavier. To making my own ribbon flyer company, just kidding it was not that extreme but I did had to make my own flyers and my own ribbons. I even had to go ribbon shopping to find the cheapest ribbons. Thanks to Wal-Mart they always have cheap prices. I then have to spend a lot of time making and passing out the flyers out. Also putting the flyers on the windshield wipers was kind of scary because I was scared people were going to yell at me for touching their car. Luckily everything worked out fine. I got the idea of placing flyers on cars from the ten thousand clubs flyers I get a day from Xavier. All right maybe not ten thousand but you know every cars get a lot of club and party flyers a day. Walking cars to cars, I did not realize it would take so much work. Even though I got my friend and sister to help me pass out the flyer it still took a lot of time to do it. So I don’t even know how people can pass out flyers on their own to hundreds of cars each day. Also going to the mall and passing it out to shoppers took a lot of time also but I did do some shopping in between. Hey who say doing a project has to be boring!!!! After all that was done I also spent a part of my Thanksgiving holiday at Honda passing out more ribbons. So I truly felt that I have put a lot of effort into this project. Not only did I narrow my project to Xavier University, but I expand my project by going to the mall and helping out at Honda. Since this project was required to be done outside of classroom time I had to squeeze this project into my schedule with school and work going on. I did not realize how time consuming our project was going to be until I actually started to implement on it. At least I didn’t live and breathe doing my project all night and weekend long, so I was fine in doing it besides I had a lot of fun and a great experience from my project. Not only did I try to spread knowledge out to other people but doing research on my project I learned a lot of things for myself that I did not know before about drinking.
In addition to our project we had to write letter to four people and write two thousand words blog on the progress of our project. Writing the blog on time and meeting the thousand-word requirement, I have accomplished both of those criteria. So the criteria listed for an A project, I felt that I have met all those criteria. Not only did I put a lot of effort into my project but also I feel that my project was really effective in diminishing drinking and driving.
My project diminished drinking and driving by I have found a way to help people to sober up when they do have to drive home. So the flyers I passed out include useful tips that would help people sober up when they need to and tips on how not to get so drunk when they drink in the beginning. Some people especially inexperience drinker don’t know when to stop when they which leads to a bad hangover in the morning or a damage car or even life. Since telling people not to drink at all is impossible I have found a realistic way that would actually help the problem and something that people would actually follow. If drinking never existed then the problem of drunk driving would never exist. The reason why I chose drunk driving is because I know especially college students would be hard for them to give up drinking. Most of these college students are not even old enough to drink, so if they went to the extreme to find ways to get alcohol illegally, I am pretty sure they would not be so willing to give up alcohol. Also giving up drinking to some college student is like taking away candy from a baby. With peer pressure and party life that college brings, it is hard for a lot of student not to drink much less be around alcohol. So preventing drinking and driving, I felt like it would be more of a successful project. Hopefully with all this hard work and effort into this project, I hope I do receive an A for my project and my project was truly a success. To have an A would be the best Christmas present ever a theology teacher can give to his student. Just Kidding but it would be nice though. At least there is one thing to look forward to is we have one more blog left, in the beginning when I heard of the two-thousand word blog every week, I dreaded it so much. Now the blogs are not so bad and now when I have to write to two page essays in other class I felt like it is not hard at to do at all.
