That Project Thing

Hello again bloggers, its time that I explain my project, kind of.
Well as I have blogged already, my project was an attempt to reduce apathy through the education system. As it would turn out, my project kind of went further beyond that. At times I would find myself just talking and ranting about my plans and goals as far as this project. While I did not get as much done as I could have, I feel I did as much as my resources allowed (in this case, namely time… but influence too). The greatest breakthrough of my entire project occured during Spring Break. I visited my high school to pick up the year book I always leave behind (and left behind yet again), and as I began visiting teachers, they asked me to speak to their classes. With that, I took advantage of the opportunity. I explained to students the importance of education, college life, and that whole indifference (apathy) thing. In doing that I felt like I was really reaching students. I was finally seeing the forum Torrey and I had planned to get done begin to come to fruition. While Torrey and I was never able to really work together, because we did not have enough time to really plan anything.
While I did not get a whole lot done, I truly intend to continue the ground work I have already set. I know that with time, I will be able to take advantage of my resources and the experience I have already gained. Furthermore, in doing this project, I was able to begin to become less apathetic. If I want to be effective at this project, I have to be. And through this project I’m doing just that.
