Week 6 Implementation
Well who would think that I would be sooooo far behind in my project!! I started off good but halfway through the semester other classes got to be my main focus and I ended up slacking off a bit. Now look where it has gotten me! I am 5 weeks behind in my blogging and no matter what happens I will get caught up before I get too busy with my finals. I want an A out of this class and I will do anything to get that!! With me putting this class on the back burner I have fallen off with my project a little bit but nevertheless I am still going through with it. After reading all of the comments form last week’s post I feel as though I am going in the right direction with this project. I have incorporated a survey into my project where I will be asking random people around campus to fill out surveys about their alcohol intake and practices. Here is a sample of the survey:
A Survey on Alcohol Intake and Practices

Missed a class: Never Once Twice 3-5 times 6-9 times 10 or more times
Etc. Etc. Etc. That is a sample of the questions that I asked in my survey and I am anxious to see the results from this. So far I have had 10 people to sign my wall of pledges, which I am happy about but I would like more people to join in the fight of overcoming alcohol abuse. Right now I do not think that people are taking my project seriously but hopefully that will change once people see more and more people signing the wall fo pledges!!
I think that this class pertains to what I want to do for my professional living because it causes me to think in a different way. Before I came into this class I accepted the Bible for what it was and what different preachers told me about the Bible without finding out this information myself, now I am more open to other ideas and understand that the way that I learned the Bible may not be true. I have become more open into accepting other people’s opinions and ideas of religion and can actually have a discussion with other people now about religion since I am more open. I will take this information that I have learned in this Theology class and use it in the work field. Never again will I rely on somebody else’s information before investigating the source for myself!
Majoring in Speech Pathology, different theories and ideas come up all the time about how different speech impediments and ailments occur and I for one, am gonna find out this information for myself and make a judgement on it by myself.
Feminist Criticism is a useful tool in Biblical Studies and in other areas because it gives information and views from a woman’s perspective. Rarely did we get a good image of women in the Bible because it was written exclusive by men. Women were portrayed as adulterers, liars, and thrown around like property by the women. In class when we read the Bible from a Feminist Criticism perspective we ended getting both sides of the Bible, men and women.
On the Midterm I got an 89. I was really surprised because I thought that I had done horribly and was not feeling very confident after I took the exam. When I got it back I realized that I had made a lot of mistakes and just put down dumb answers when I knew what the correct answer was!!! I always do that rushing through exams and I always end up messing up on questions that I should know!!! (I think it’s a nervous habit because that always happens!).Hopefully that will not happen during the final. I have to do well on that because we only have 2 exams in this class and these blogs, which I think is not enough. I reaaly need an A in this class to bring my GPA up and I am gonna try to complete all these blogs and ace the final so that I can do so!!
