How does the prohpets relate to my project?

To begin with, allow me to inform you on excatly what the prophet did. The prophets studied the word of God. They also went out and spread God’s word to the people. They taught the people how to behave and handle certain situations in a way that God would find to be appropriate. Basicly they did the “will” of God and lived their lives accordingly.

I feel the prophets relate to me and what I am doing with my project because I feel like I am carring out the will of God as well. Just like the prophets I am going out in direct contact with people to attempt to educate them so they may have a better life on this Earth. God said that we should love our neighbors. If you love your neighbor like God told us to do, then you would be concerned about your neighbors’ health, future, and entire well being. Therefore, I am working to educate people so that we as the human race may have a better, healthier future.

How does Job’s life experiance relate to rebuilding New Orleans?

Job was one of God’s most faithful servants and God favored him. Job was blessed with all kinds of material possessions and he was a very happy, wealthy, and healthy man. So the devil went to God an told God that Job only served him so well because he was so blessed, the devil suggested that Job be tested to prove his loyalty [because he thought Job would fall short and turn away from God]. God aggreed and that is when it all began to fall aparat for Job.

Job lost all of his material possessions in cluding his cattle. God allowed all of his children to burned to death in their homes and to make matters worse Job lost his health, he became sick and boils form all over is entire body. Job had long suffering with his illness. People began to think that he had to sin really bad to be so “cursed”. His own wife suggested that he curse God so that he may die and end his suffering. However, through it all, Job remained faithful and loving unto God. In return God blessed him double for all of his possessions that he had once lost; he gave him new children, and a new wife.

Job’s life relates to rebuilding New Orleans in so many ways. First of all, after Job’s long suffering, God rebuilt Job’s life just like we are re-building New Orleans after long suffering. As a matter of fact, we are still in our process of “long suffering”. Just like Job was accused of sining against God and being “cursed” as a punishment, many people believe that New Orleans is suffering because of the sin that we have here. Did anyone every stop to think that he may be testing us like he did in Job’s case? Maybe?. As I stated before the people of New Orelans in suffering, we have lost everything just like Job. I know after this test is over, and we have passed, God will bless us double just as he did with Job.
