I comented on the following people’s project: Taieka Jackson, Corey Simms, KC 48, C Netterville, Kristen Lockett, Brittany Singleton, Desiree Smith, Janice McIntosh, Raven Moret, Brittney Curtis. Enuma Elish is very similar to the book of Genesis in the Bible. In the book of Genesis God creates the world in six days. This is similar to Enuma Elish becuase there are six generations of gods in the myth. Each generation of the gods in Enuma Elish was similar to what God created on each day of the creation. God made man on the sixth day so he rested on the seventh day. In Enuma Elish, Marduk, the sixth generation god, made man as a slave so the other gods could rest. The similarities are very evident between the book of Genesis in the Bible and the Enuma Elish myth. The Tiglath-Pileser princeiple talks about what the king does when he conquers land. He takes the spoils of the land. He puts together his army, and he disrespects the losing army by disrespecting the dead carcasses of the dead soldiers. The spoils of war are taken back with him.The Tiglath-Pileser talks about how a winning king takes its spoil.
