I think that the Biblical prophets relate to my story because I think that like the prophets my project is a result of action taking place. The prophets were called to duty by God to spread the gospel to people all over. We are like prophets in a way because we have also been called to duty to solve some of the major issues that are going on in the world. Like the prophets, we must get information out to people to tell them what is wrong and what is right to make the world we live in a better place.
Job was a man who had everything. He was wealthy, he had lots of land, and he had a big family. This was all taken away from him when Satan told God to test Job to see if he was as loyal as God thought that he was. God ended up taking everything away from Job, including his family. But through all the turmoil and defeat that Job experienced he remained faithful to God. The people in New Orleans are like Job in a way because once upon a time this city flourished. At one point tourism was high which kept people employed, and people were happy because they had families and friends. After Katrina, this city went through a major collapse, but hopefully like Job the people will remain faithful to God in the end. After Katrina, faith is needed to rebuild the city back to what it once was. Psalm 22 is a prophecy of Christ’s crucifixion. It is in this passage where we first see, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?“, which Jesus says later when he is actually dying on the cross as a plea to God to save him.
