I think that I and the prophets are similar in a way. Excluding the fact that I’m claiming to hear God’s voice in my head and doing His will, we are both trying to improve a certain part in society that we see is wrong. The choice to help is a personal one and it’s up to us to see it through and to gather supporters and volunteers on the way. It’s also our job to find more information on the topics and explain it to the society and give them a solution to it.

Job is a man who had everything and couldn’t ask for a better life. The man was wealthy and had a god family to support. Satan wanted to show God that if you take everything away from a person then they would lose faith in God. God agreed to the bet and took everything away from Job. I find that doing this to a man to prove a certain point is really cruel, but Job proved Satan to be wrong because Job remained faithful to God. This story can be related to New Orleans because the citizens in New Orleans are Job and God is testing our faith. The city of New Orleans was doing really good before Hurricane Katrina, but after the storm hit, there has been questions if the city will ever be the same as it was before. Now only time can tell if the city will bring itself up on its legs again and get back to normal.

Psalm 22 starts off with a man asking for God’s help. Even though God doesn’t come to help, the man still has faith that God has his reasons for not helping. There has also been an idea that this may have been a premonition to the crucifixion of Jesus. This is plausible because there was a passage saying, “they pierced my hands and my feet”. Even though this can be a broad description of anyone, people are confident that this is Jesus they are speaking of.
