The Biblical Prophets were trying to convince the people to turn to God; the people of Israel constantly ignored them. Israel suffered many punishments due to their lack of listening to the prophets. The Biblical Prophets relate to my project because I, like them am trying to inform people about a better life. I see the things that are wrong with the system and I am making attempts to correct them. Although my project is not teaching them about what God wants from us, I spread His message on a daily basis.
The worst was their exile in 586 B.C. At first, with Job, everything was perfectly fine. He had a good life, and everything was going smoothly with him. Then one day, Satan came before God and God asked him had he considered his servant Job and that there was none on earth like him. The devil says that Job fears God because of all of the good things that the Lord has given him. He argues that if all of these good things were taken away, Job would decide to curse God to his face. As a result, God decides to test this argument. But he warns Satan not to touch Job himself. So after this, everything is basically taken away from Job overnight. His children are killed, his wealth is gone, etc, etc…. But despite all of the bad things that have happened to Job, he refuses to curse God and praises him even for the bad things that have happened. He says “Should we only expect good from God and not bad?” After this, God and Satan have the same conversation. This time, Satan argues that if Job’s good health was taken away, he will curse God. God allows him to touch Job’s health, but not his life. Afterwards, Job becomes very ill. Still, he refuses to curse God. Later, God rewards him by restoring all the things that he lostPsalm 22 seems to speak about Jesus. In the gospels, Job relates to the people of the Hurricane because although he lost everything he did not curse God.
Jesus says the verse, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?” This . It tells how a man cried out to God but got no answer from him. Even though he was not answered immediately, he faith did not suffer.
