WEEK 14

I’m not sure. I think I deserve a C. But I really haven’t put forth that much of an effort. I actually skipped a couple of blogs because I thought they were stupid. And my grade is going to reflect it. To be honest I absolutely hate typing the blogs. The questions are way too hard and take research to find the answers. Then each has to be 1000 words. I’m sure everyone feels my pain when they sit in front of the computer for two hours typing and then they check the number count and only have 600 words. It is ridiculous. But I think that I deserve a C. The few blogs that I have posted are entertaining and constructed in the best of my abilities. No not all of them are the required 1000 words but I did contribute something. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that. It sounds like a cop out. But whatever I earn and whatever Dr.Homan feels that I have earned I’ll be satisfied with. I also thought about my topic carefully and had help with doing it. But the final is coming up so hopefully I ace that cause that midterm of mine was horrible! Speaking of that, let me get down to studying for the final!
Christians always think that the world is going to end at the end of every century because of stories from the bible. They believe that the Book of Revelations hold special prophecies telling of when the world is going to end. Revelations is a Greek word derived from apocalypses which means to reveal or uncover. In the Book of Revelations God reveals his plans for the world while John is in exile . Older people always expect the end of the world more often because they say the world is getting crazier and that God is not happy just like he was in the story Noah’s Ark. Another reason is all these crazy people and so called prophets and psychics feeding the fire. Just like the year 2000 when everyone went and withdrew all their money out of accounts and bought all types of supplies in preparation for the end of the world.
The movie we watched in class was boring. But it was about Jeremiah, a depressed prophet who is known as the weeping prophet. Funny thing is he never cried in the movie. Or maybe I don’t remember because I was sleep. The story starts off in his childhood. It progresses all the way until he becomes a prophet. His father was in the sacrificial business and wanted him to follow. But he falls in love with a girl. The girl reaches out to him to pay a debt that her family owes. But he has a sacrifice. Before his sacrifice he has a vision of the Babylonians destroying the city. No one believes him. He is exiled. The king comes to his defense because he realizes it’s the truth. Jerusalem is destroyed. If they only had listened.
