The only thing that I was able to does talk and talk more. I did my best to inform people about generic equivalent but many are just set in there ways. For many people they have no other choice but to switch to generic because insurances will not pay for the brand they willingly pay for generic mainly in the case on narcotic. Many people feel if they get hydrocodone and not vicodin they won’t work. But they have the same active ingredients. The pain won’t go away that’s why I need brand that is so not true it is like a mental thing. I talk to many older patients that won’t change over to generic once they come out. Try to explain to them that there many will run out on there insurance faster by getting that brand name drug. They tend not to listen so now I tell them since the end of the year is here and many people are in there donut hole “I told you to change to generic so do you want to now so next year you won’t have this problem” many of them still say no but so say yes. When they tell me yes I tell them that they will see that their money will last a lot longer now since you change over.
