This is the final blog. This blog we must evaluate the course goals which consisted of the following:
1. Give students a level of expertise in the discipline of biblical studies.

2. Provide the tools to read the Bible in an academic and critical manner.

3. Improve student’s ability to effectively communicate and to write clearly matters involving critical thinking.

4. Improve the world.

My evaluation on the first course goal is that this course may have given some students a level of exprertise in the discipline of biblical studies, but not all student have it. The students do have an understanding of it, but it certainly doesn’t make them expert at biblical studies. I would consider myself of the student who have an understandinf of it. I think the concept of making the students expertise in the discipline of biblical studies, so be approach in a different way. But certainly do not take that in the wrong way, this was a good class.
My evaluation on the second course goal is that this class did provided tool to read the bible in an academic and critical method. We learned different methods that to look at the bible and even the bible mysteries helped. With the methods and the bible mysteries, it required us to think criticially when reading biblical passages.
My evaluation on the third course goal is that this class did make help improve our communication method when using critical thinking. Through the blogging, the project, and bible mysteries, critical thinking method had to be use. We had to think critically when trying to answer the question for the blog and trying to explain the bible mystery to the class. We had to use our critical thinking method to come up with a way to implement a project that would help change or improve the world.
My evaluation on the fourth course goal is that this class, even through project in some way improve the world. It doesn’t have that great of an effect but it requires starting out small to make something big. This class is way of starting out small. If this class was required everywhere with the course objectives and even the required project, it would make a difference.

The best part of this class was the discussion held in the class. Even though my class didn’t have many discussion, the one we did have were interesting. The worst part of this class was the fact that my class was the 8 o’clock class. We were a very quite class. I think that is because most people weren’t really fully awake at that time or they were afraid to answer. That’s the only negative I have to say about the class. I wouldn’t say the whole blogging and project part of this course is the worst thing, but it something that can be disliked. There is nothing wrong with having do the project and the blogging, but in the back of my mind, I was thinking what does changing the world and blogging have to do with biblical studies. I don’t think I have come to realization of that reasoning was for. Eventually I’ll realize what was the point of doing all this.

Personally, I don’t feel that this class should be apart of the core course needed at this university. But based on this university is a Catholic university, I could understand why Theology courses are apart of the core courses need. Even at the high school level at a Catholic school, you are required to take some type of Theology course.

Now it has come the time to count up all the words I have completely blogged I know that is certainly more than 3000 words. Even though all the words have I have blogged is equal to a ten page paper, it still won’t stop me from complaining about a ten page paper. It truly has been pleasure blogging my thoughts and being in this class. Thanks for that has been taught in this class, and the knowledge I have gained from this class. Now that I am nearly done I have one more to finish editing and hope that much isn’t going to get taken off for being after the deadline, I am congratulating and patting myself on the back.
