Week Six (K.Chambers)

443 words by Kirsten Chambers

Well my church is having a week of prayer soon, and the parents are going to need someone to watch their children while there in service. So I figured maybe one are two nights out of the week I’ll volunteer. I’ve just been thinking of things I can do with the kids. Maybe things like puzzles, drawing pictures, and coloring would be nice. All of these would be nice to help them. Children need much time spent with them, especially at a young age when everything is being put in to their minds. At this moment in their lives they are learning so many things, and most of these ideas, they will bring with them to adulthood. So it is crucial to start teaching them at a young age the difference between right and wrong and also just life lessons.

I would like to be an Occupational Therapist. I feel like this class is helping me to build my beliefs, and also teaching me that a relationship with God is needed in everything you do. Not only that, but OT’s work with the mind and many things from the Bible teach you how to talk to people and the differences between what is wrong and right. I think it will be easier for me to make decisions and tell people the right things with a strong belief system. Knowing God makes everything easier, and this class gives a lot of information on how and why you should get to know God better.

Feminist Criticism is a helpful tool because it shows Bible scholars how people looked at women, what roles they played, and how they were in the Bible. It gives much information and lets us as readers see how women were treated and they difference they made in history. But when looking at feminist criticism we see how women thought about everything. This can be used to see the difference between the way women and men see things also how a women’s thought process can be. This kind of criticism can be used for many things, from research on down.

I think I didn’t do as well as I should of on the Midterm. Of course I could have studied more, and its nobodies fault but mines. I think for me to do better on my final I need to make scheduled study times. This course has a lot of information to learn and you can learn it all in one night. So the midterm opened my eyes and showed me that I really need to get on track and study harder.
