STOP!
Crime is deveined.
Peace needs to be increased.
Crime affects the world.
Reach out to the little children that think violence is the answer (but it’s not).
Improve your relationship with some young person that looks up to you.
Mentor; lead someone in the right the direction.
Encourage younger people to strive for the best.
I think the phrase rocks!!!! This is the slogan for my project. However patriarchs and matriarchs are good role models in a certain ways (well at least some of them are). Examples of patriarchs are all through the bible and some stories that relate to the bible. I will give examples from the follow readings Deception for Deception and Genesis and other bible stories to show there good and also bad side. For example Moses was an excellent leader even though he failed to do what God had told him to do towards the end of his journey. Meanwhile we are all human and make mistakes so therefore Moses did his best even when some people doubted him for listening to God’s word. He himself wasn’t sure he was the man for the job at first yet he managed to inform people of god’s will. Yet when you make mistakes there are consequences for your actions because as you read in the story Moses was not allowed to enter into the promise land. Some role models weren’t very good role models like Moses such as Lot he was the father of two which died after marrying the same woman. Then he turns around sleeps with her and gets her pregnant (that’s not a good role model at all). She has twins for him she’s not a good role model either how can you be a woman and get pregnant for your father-in-law. Meanwhile Jacob is out to gain his brother’s firstborn privilege by refusing his brother of food until he decides to give that privilege to Jacob. Jacob is still out to deceive he deceives his blind father by pretending that his brother is dead and holding goat blood in front his father in place of his brother. While Jacob is not the last ones to deceive they are others to follow such as Rebecca just to name one. After all how can that be a good influence on someone when all you doing is lying to get what you want (not a very good role model). However Sarah was a great example of matriarch because she stood behind her husband. You shall have no other gods before me. This commandment speaks for itself god is the head of everything there shall not be no one before him or after. Even though all the commandments are important I think you have to start with this before you can follow any of the others (that’s why it’s the first commandment). I believe that there is no like god and there will never be one that can take his place. Also if everyone would believe in him and only him the world would be a much better place. When Moses tried to take credit for what god told him to do he was punished. How hard can it be to just put all your faith and beliefs in one person who will never let you down? He’s always there to guide you in the right direction if you just believe. Besides just having that faith in him can get you through things that you didn’t think were possible. God gave us 10 laws to live by and we can’t even do half on them yet the government gives us new laws all the time yet we manage to follow those. Think, where would we be in the world if god didn’t give us laws we would be able to sleep with married men/women and there would be nothing wrong with that yet god wanted a better life for us and that’s why he gave us laws that would help us respect one another. All 10 commandments serve as a major part in our life on a daily bases. This gives us guidance. In reply to those who commented on my project? I would like to thank all those who commented on my project the extra idea where needed. However I would also like to add that in my project I would be creating qualitative data to show how our tax dollars go towards more crime then it does to health insurance. How we are basically paying for crimes. We pay the energy and water bill of those that comments crime and are imprisoned with the taxes that we pay. This is enough to make you want to do something about crime I know that I speak for a lot of people when I say that I don’t want my tax dollars begin spent of those that chose to commit a crime. During this project I have begin to realize that our youth is surround by crime on a daily bases. What happened to have a fight to prove something to someone now it’s you have to kill someone to prove yourself. Also I like to know if there is anyone who would like to join me in my quest to stop crime. To make my 1000 words for the week I posted responds to all those who commented on my project. Thank you and keep hope alive and stop the crime.
