Hi Kelly this is Ashley Simon and I just wanted to respond to your comment. I am glad that you agree with some of my ideas such as having too many people that are only “book smart” and my team building exercises. It is sad but true when you said that people are so stubborn and close-minded to anything that is new to them. Thank you for commenting.
Hello Sondra this is Ashley Simon and I just wanted to respond to your comments. I was thinking that the team builder exercise could consist of the different games that I played while I was in training to become an R.A. such as trying to figure out how to cross over “hot lava” and everyone had to cross over only once to get everybody on the other side, or trying to place everybody in order according to their birthdays without speaking. I also was looking at team building exercises that I haven’t tried yet such as I just thought that ice breakers and team building exercises could be thought of as the same thing.
Hello this is Ashley Simon and I wanted to respond to your comments. I am happy that you understand my ideas and plans for this project.
Hello Ashley this is Ashley Simon and I just wanted to respond to your comments. I am glad that you understand my project. Having an older sister myself that cares for me and you have three older siblings that care for you also, we probably haven’t been through what some have been through in not having someone to talk to. Hopefully with this program they might be able to talk to about their problems or just everyday things.
Hello Jenny this is Ashley Simon and I just wanted to respond to your comments that you made about my project. I am very glad that you saw that I was really thinking for this project because I really was.
Hello this is Ashley Simon and I just wanted to respond to your comments that you made about my project. I am pleased to know that you think that I have good ideas for my project. Let’s just hope that the students that I do this with will feel the same way.
I don’t know how draw so I will tell you what I think my logo would look like. It will be like a seal with hands of different races joined together and in the middle there will be a dove to represent peace and tolerance. The in the slogan will be: Take a stand for education and eliminate ignorance. I haven’t really thought of the colors yet but I am guessing it should just be red, white and blue.
I think that the patriarchs weren’t all good or all evil just like humans are. Of course, Adam made the original sin by eating the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge. Then there is Abraham who followed God’s every word even we he was told to kill his own son Isaac, but that is a rare case. Noah followed God by building a ship for his wife, his sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wives also along with the animals. However Noah’s son had sinned against him when Noah became drunk and they looked at his nakedness. Lot also had listened when God had told him to leave the town of Sodom where there was much sinning happening. However Lot did a terrible thing by sleeping with one of his daughters one night, sleeping with his other daughter the next night, and impregnating them both. While Moses did listen to God he also did a couple of mistakes such as killing someone, kicking the stone wrong, and even arguing with God and telling Him to kill him rather than have Moses suffer. The last patriarch is David, and even thought he did many good things he also did bad things, such as killing many people and killed Uriah, the Hittite, and took his pregnant wife Bathsheba and made her his own wife.
My favorite commandment from the Decalogue is, “You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.” I think that this one is the most understandable and less confusing one. God states that you should not make yourself an idol of Him and that is it. It isn’t as confusing as some of the other commandments such as how much someone is allowed to do while observing the Sabbath Day.
The Suzerain/Vassal treaties open with have two sections, which were the identification of the Suzerain by his name and titles, and the historical survey of the Suzerain’s dealings with the vassal. This is to show the vassal how much the Suzerain has done to protect and establish the vassal and that they owe obedience and faithfulness to the Suzerain.
The next section states the requirements and responsibilities of the vassal which the people are supposed to study and practice. The last section of these treaties has the blessings and curses of the Suzerain. If the rules are followed by the people, they will receive the listed Suzerain’s blessings. If the vassal fails to meet the rules, they will receive the Suzerain’s curses, which are also listed. This could be compared to the Decalogue or commonly known as the Ten Commandments. It is said that the whole chapters with Moses included in it is based of the Suzerain Treaty structure. It deals with names and titles such as the phrase, “I am the Lord, your God,” and a historical prologue such as when God talked about how He brought them from Egypt. There are also statements of curses and blessings if God’s rules aren’t met which were stated in the Ten Commandments.
