First, before I start off I would like to say thanks to all the comments that I recieved on my project. They were extremely helpful and much needed! Thanks guys soooo much! Okay now to respnd to the comments. Sierra, thanks for the feedback, I realized that it is so much better to provide people with more outlets than just food and clothes. I want to give them entertainment that they can enjoy and remember. I think our projects are a little similar too! Eventhough I am starting on a small scale I do want to get to the level of a community center. It would be really nice and benefical to the people that surround it. Csamuel thanks for the advice. I would love to get alot of friends together and volunteer at a local food bank. I have to look into some that are doing that. I Bridge House has an annual Thanksgiving Day dinner, maybe I will look into that. Also I do want to help the community as a whole because if you help an entire community the change is a little more effective. Hopefully I can do both the organization and the community at one time to make a big impact. Krobin, thanks for the advice I think I will pass out flyers. What I was also thinking to do is to post it one myspace and facebook and ask them if they do know someone that is less fortunate to tell them about it so they all can come. Hopefully as time progresses I can make this into a monthly thing so everyone can get a chance to participate and enjoy what this is going to bring them. People can start to have hope and encouragement to start their lives brand new with someone just pushing them. I think that i can also put flyers at my mother’s school in order to get an even better turn out. Thanks! Dr. Homan, thanks for the advice. My church doesn’t really have something like this that goes on. About every other month we have a Family and Friends Night where the church members bring relatives and friends that need a little encouragement. We take part in games and have food, also movies, but really no clothes. I think that I can use that as an outlet and turn one of those night into what my project is all about. Also yes I think I do need to educate myself more about the topic of poverty so when I do the dinner, I know more about what people are really going through. Merrill, thanks for the advice that is exactly what I am trying to do because people can a meal and some clothes but still feel the same way that they felt walking into the community center. If they can talk to someone about their problems and get alot of encouragement about what they are facing. They also can pray and they will able to get closer to God and begin to have more hope for themselves. Brittany I know that we would make a dynamic duo! Yea lack of communication most of the time ruins events because people don’t get the word out and the population of event suffers. I am also thinking about incorporating a little entertainment in this dinner. My church dance team and I can do a dance or something you know just the get the crowd a little interactive. Let me know how your project turn out! Thanks!

Okay now lets get down to business! To be completely honest, I think that the Matriarchs and the Patriarchs are good role models. And I know you are most likely like what is she talking about? Well I mean of course all of them made some tremendous mistakes that caused some intense consequences, but they give us examples of what not to do. We can apply that these days and see that even though they did some things that were not good at all. We can see why they were wrong and in the end of it they themselves see where they were wrong. I think that everyone makes mistakes and the beauty of the mistake is that you learn from it and your life will be better because you learned the reason why it was a mistake in the beginning.

The Decalogue means the ten words which is the Ten Commandments. The ten commandments represents the covenant that God established with Moses. The ANE Suzerian Vassal Treaties also use the ten commandments. This fits into the context of the Suzerian Vassal Treaties because they present the same material but just in a different way. Like for example they set up a certain point for each area. Since they considered whoever dominated to be the Suzerian, they made five points. The first point establish the historical prologue where they identify the Suzerian. The second point talks about Prime Stipulation which is saying that the Suzerian will only be the suzerain. This means that nothing is higher than the Suzerain according to them. The third point talks about Subsequent Stipulations which is saying what the vassal must do. The forth point talks about Provisions for the Treaty and the fifth point talks about the Curses and Blessings.

Hmmmm…now let me think what would be my favorite commandment. Now I could say more than one like “You shall have no other gods before me” or “You shall not bear false witness against neighbor.” Another one would be “You shall not make for yourself a graven image” which provides a good example of what the Israelites did when Moses was away (making a golden calf to worship God). But I woul have to day my favorite commandment in the Decalogue would most likely have to be You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain. The reason this is my favorite commandment is because many people think in a different context of what the commandement really means. What the commandment really means is that if you evoke a promise in God’s name that’s what “saying his name in vain” means.
