All of the prophets were good people. They always informed their people about everything that would be beneficial to them. They never harmed anyone. All of the Biblical prophets had a goal to make the world a better place. They dedicated their lives in order to spread the message of God to make the world a better place. My project is goal is also to make the world a better place. I am not necessarily sending a message form God to people but I am informing people of the Islamic religion. I think by doing so the world will be a better place because it will not eliminate but it will reduce discrimination and ignorance, and misconceptions regarding the religion of Islam.
How does Job’s experience relate to rebuilding New Orleans?
Job was a really good man. He was very religious and he obeyed God to the best of his ability. He was very wealthy and happy. The devil didn’t believe that Job would stay obedient to God if everything was taken away from him. The devil thought that if Job was miserable he would no longer be a good religious man. The devil went to God and told him that Job would leave him once everything was taken away from him and he is miserable. God told the devil no Job will not leave me. The devil wanted to test Job so God gave him permission to test him. The devil made Job lose all or most of his wealth, he took away all his kids, he made him have really bad health, and he just made his life really miserable. Everyone around Job, his wife and his friends, all told him to curse God because he made him live such a miserable life. They asked him that if God loved him why he was allowing all of these bad things to happen to him. However, Job did not listen to them and he remained a good religious man that obeyed God. God told the devil that Job would never leave him or curse him because he was a believer. Since Job remained with strong faith in God, God rewarded him and gave him whatever he lost in twofold. Job’s experience relates to rebuilding New Orleans a lot. Many people said that New Orleans deserved what happened to it because it was such a bad city that was corrupt and with the most crime. However these are the people that never lived or probably saw New Orleans. The people of New Orleans were strong in their faith in God and they were very patient. As a result God rewarded us. There were many homes before the hurricane that were a mess because their owners didn’t keep up with them or because they didn’t have the money to improve it; however, after Katrina many people got money from their insurance or the government and they were able to rebuild their homes to look almost bran new.
Pslam 22 is basically another story like Job’s story. It was written by David. David tells the story about a man that had everything and was very religious. God tested him and took everything from him, but the man’s faith in God did not decrease. He still had faith in God. As a result, God gave him back everything he took away from him and rewarded him for keeping his faith in God strong.
