my project

The problem that interest me the most is pollution in our world. Pollution is a problem that is on-going that will be eventually fixed by us working together. There are many different types of pollution. For example a few pollutions are air pollution that are cause by plant factories and automobiles, yes the cars that we drive in causes air polutions. There are also water pollution, which is cause by oil spills, people throwing their nasty trash in the water just because they are to lazy to put it in the trash and last but not least environmental pollution. The first step in fixing this problem is that i will do some research on how we, as the people, polluting the world. Then i will put out some flyers informing people how pollution can harm our health and also causing global warming. I would go to different schools asking teachers/principle to see if they can set up a seminar for me to educate others about the problems with pollution and how if can effect our lives. Then I would move on to the second step which is to take action. In taking action, we can all take small actions in our community to reduce pollution. For example, like setting up recycling bins around parks and schools, and have the project grow on a wider scale going state-wide to the nation and even the world. In this step, I will contact with the recycling group company to see if they can put recycling bins to each household and random corner streets, so people could start recycling. By recycling, I’m talking about recycling newspaper, plastic bags, cans, bottle, and etc. I would try to contact some schools and colleges if they could put out recycling bins around campus, so student could start recycling. By doing little things at a time would help reduce the pollution going on in this world. Another example is people could start riding bikes or walk to places, if its close by instead of driving cars because driving a car can cause a lot of pollution to the air that we breath in, to reduce in air pollution. One thing I hate most is people throwing trash into the streets and water. I would want to inform people not to throw trash out into streets, lakes, ponds, beaches, ocean, and etc. That is the number one cause of pollution, killing marine animals, and causing accidents people! If you are in your car and have no where else to throw it away, please people, hold onto it until you get a near by trash can or put a plastic bag in your car and use it as a trash bag. Throw it away when you get home! If there’s trash on the ground please pick it up and throw it into the trash can, picking up one bit at a time would help a lot. Most people don’t think it make a difference but it does make a huge difference.
One of humankind’s greatest invention was the invention of the alphabet. It originally was derive from a small place called Semitic. It was invented around the 16 or 17 century BCE. At first, the alphabet was actually a written in pictograph inscriptions that makes up the alphabet. Each pictograph signs would represent an object, the name of which began with the letter the sign was meant to represent. Soon the pictograph got to complicated because a simple picture can represent many things. The primary influence of the alphabet was from the Egyptians hieroglyphic scripts. Then the alphabet started to spread quickly to different part of culture and region. And within each culture more and more physical properties was added to the alphabet. For example, the Greek inscriptions would write from right-to-left, left to right, boustrophedon, or in vertical columns. In each ca, the stance of the signs faced away from the direction of writing, which created a tendency for stances to rotate over a given period of time. Each culture had their own from of the alphabet. The alphabet democratize civilization by letting them communicate with one another and different civilization. Without the alphabet then people wouldn’t able to learn how to read or write. And the things that is around us wouldn’t have a name for a specific item. So later on more and more things was added to the alphabet and started to spread more and more to diffrent places. The alphabet democratized the civilization because it gave a sense of substace to each civilization. The alphabet helps people to communicated with one another especially with the laws and regulations and help with the trades. The alphabets help civilization more organize and without the alphabeth we won’t have epic now.
Archaeologist isan anthropologist who studies prehistoric people and their culture. Archeology plays an important role on assisting Bible scholars. Archaeologist dig up evidence and search for clues on how certain culture exist, so that we know about the history and how it was develop. Archaeology helps Bible scholars give physical context for many of the events in the Bible. Archaeology also helps put into perspective or distinguish what might be realistic and what might be purely a faith concept. Without archaeologist, we probably won’t have a Bible because we won’t have any evidence on everything that we learn existed. With the evidence an. d proof from the archaeologist, they predicted when, where and why a certain event happens. Archaeologist spend most of their time in the middle east digging up the past with different civilization, it helps us understand more.

YES education is key! And yours is very similiar to Andre Jefferson’s. Maybe you should work together!!! But as I said to him, we, as Americans are a little naive, and take the many things for granted. Wedont vaue as much as other countries may, fresh air, clean water, public education etc. We litter, soil lakes…destroy our world slowly… Having recycling bins are helpful!!! It may can provide money for the school as well. Many recyclers get paid for turning bottles, alluminum, glass, etc in. Good idea!

I think that your project is a good idea. Pollution is a big problem in the world today. Like in China, the people living there are dealing with a really bad pollution problem. The air isnt safe to breathe. That is no way to live. Education is a great tool in many things in the world, pollution is no different. People need to be educated about pollution and the negative effects it has on our lives. Everybody needs to GO GREEN!

Pollution is a horrible problem, and your project is very real and easily done. Educating others will definitely allow you to achieve your goal of continuity.

Your project is similar to Andre. The only difference is you plan to educate a person which is a good thing because a lot of people are not aware of what can cause pollution. There can be many different things that can cause pollution besides trash (I’m not sure about this but I would think that there are many others things that can cause pollution). Besides I also heard that when you drive on the highway with your windows rolled down that also can cause pollution. So just inform us of what pollution is and what we can do to prevent the matter. If you need help let me I’m here.

This is a very good project that you are planning to do. It is very good that you are explaining how pollution dangerously affects people (since some may believe that it doesn’t). I like the idea of having recycling bins in various locations so people could just recycle there instead of coming up with excuses on why they don’t recycle. You could also educate people on how to have a “green lifestyle.” Now I’m not saying everyone has to be extreme, but you could explain how much energy people can save by just turning off something that their not using, or using alternate things to bag their groceries instead of plastic.

WE NEED THIS!!!!!
When I saw the other day this women throw a McDonald’s back out the window and i was upset. Because the debree from the bag flew on my car window when i was driving. I also think this is a good project because people need to be educated on the problem with global warming. Just little simple things people do can help make a difference. Also I 2nd the post above me regarding how we tend to take things for granted like water and fresh air. Its simple for us to go to a sink and go get water but some people have to walk MILES AND MILES away to go get water.

I like the idea of starting with the community and then trying to spread the effort to a larger scale and trying to keep the process of cleaning and prevention on-going. The idea I like best is having recycling bins around parks and schools since most people will generally put recyclable goods like soda cans or plastic bottles, which I think is common on parks, in them if they’re around.

Pollution is something I know is a big problem in the world today. When I lived in California, people in our neighborhood used to set up recycling parties and events. That is something you can do on campus to get people excited about recycling because that is something that needs everybody’s involvement. Good Cause and good luck

I agree with you on the topic of pollution. Many people are recieving new allergeies that they have never had before. I have never had asthma in my life and now I’m almost twenty I have just came down with it. Our eath and its pollution is determental to everyones health. Recycling would be a great project to help inform everyone and help save our world.

Educating the community on the detriment of pollution is a great idea! Recycling is super important and definitely a necessity to preserve the earth’s resources. I believe that many people do not recycle and create unnecessary pollution simply out of ignorance. If simple programs are implemented to educate them on the benefits of recycling and decreasing pollution then the world can be saved from additional hardships in the future. It’s a great idea to place bins at schools because hopefully this will get kids in the habit of recycling at a young age.

pollution is the cause of global warming and other nasty environment cause like unclear air and the wearing of the earth’s surface. pollution is a major problem that need immediate aid because once the world is reduced to ruble where is there left to go? i figure recycling etc is a cool way to go but we need more than recycling and picking up trash because earth is in worse condition than that, the polar caps have no trash or need recycling bins but this is the major problem and potential end of the earth how will we stop such issues? or the harmful rays of the sun that arent suppose to make it through the earth surface but does. tese are issue that are more important than trash or recycling. how will these issues be stopped.?

I must agree that pollution is a serious issue with the world today. I believe that you comibined with other environmentalist, a change can be made. Do you plan on giving out information about global warming and possible outcomes if things dont change? I think that would be a good idea. Also, I think it would be a good idea to start a recycling club here on campus to help students and falculty get involved. An idea can be proposed to professors to give extra credit for recycling like they do for food drives for the homeless.

i think that your project is good. i hope that you succed wit waht your trying to accomplish. pollution is a big problem. and people a big contributors. if you show them how it affects the environment; it may make them want to chage the way that it treats it.

Great idea. Your idea is simliar to some one elses in the class. This a big concern to me because in Baton Rouge, which is where I’m from the air is the 2nd dirtiest in the nation. That is horrible news, so I think that people do need to be educated on bringing air pollution to a minimum! GREAT JOB!

The project that you are doing on pollution I would have to agree on it. There are two many types of pollution that we have and we need to fix it. I think smoking is also a type of pollution and it is very disgusting. I guess you can say that has to deal with air pollution. I hate the fact that people do not care about what they do to the earth. People need to think about where they dump certain things before they do it. We only have one earth to leave on and if we destroy it the means we destroy ourselves. Reading some of the other people blogs I haven’t really read that many on pollution so I like your ideas and your interest in this topic.

I think that this is a great idea for a project. Pollution is a problem that will not only effect us but will effect our kids some day. if we take the steps now to stop pollution than we can save our planet.
