Enuma Elish is the Babylonian creation story and shares some similarities with Genesis. Both creation stories are divided into seven periods with a time of rest on the seventh. However, the gods depicted in Enuma Elish takes physical form whereas the physical presence of God in Genesis is not mentioned. The world, as described in Enuma Elish, was created following a battle between Tiamat and Marduk. Marduk defeats Tiamat and creates the world from her corpse. Following that, Marduk creates humankind with the blood of Kingu. Genesis however describes these creations though the voice of command of God. Tiglath-Pileser was the king of Assyria who besieged Jerusalem and conquered northern Israel. Tiglath-Pileser was known for using a system of deporting those that posed a threat to the central government or transporting rebellious subjects.
