Week Five:
The patriarchs and matriarchs of the bible were very twisted they killed the deceived and key destroyed. For most this way of life is one condemned straight for hell, but for these people they were fighting for their families their blood lines, and their people. A noble cause, they embody the saying “Quitters never win and winners never quit.” I thing my favorite matriarch and patriarch would have to be Abraham and Sarah , they were always determent to make a way out of no way. Even when they were in their old age God promised to give them a son and they did not believe it. Back in this time keeping you family name going was the most important thing especially when it came to things like land. Abraham and Sarah reacted so humanly when it came to their blood line Sarah allowed Abraham to sleep with her maid and produce a child. Even though this was not Gods intention man always tries to take control. Laughter was such an ironic thing in this story because God chose to name the son Abraham and Sarah eventually did have Isaac. God is so funny what person doesn’t like a story with action, cunning and comedy. As the story developed further and Abraham had to send Ishmael and his mother out of the land by wish of Sarah, Abraham still worried about them. It is good to show a fatherly figure in the bible that cares for his children at all times.
My favorite commandment would have to be the ninth; you should not bear false whiteness. Many times in life we forget that we life in the world and not of the world. The world shows us threw movie and media it is ok to judge people, we as Americans have this even harder because we feel we have the right to tell other people threw our freedom of speech. We go around talking about people and pre-judging them all just to get some laughs. Majority of the time we don’t know the truth about any one we talk about at all, we don’t know what they are going threw and we don’t know what they have been threw. This is the way of the world, the world has told us we are each and every one of us superior to ever one else. Yes this is true but only to and extent, we are all put on this earth for a different reason, if we were all here for the exact reason the world would not be so crowded. This commandment
