Week 14-Grades….project….etc!!!!

Wow…this is really something else… I honestly thought that I would never see this day. I didn’t realized that time flew so fast with all the blogs that we did. I guess since we were out for Gustav and Ike that kind of made time seem faster. I honestly remember the first blog that I had to write for the class. At first I was a little apprehensive because I didn’t really blog. I was always like..huh? what is a blog..I have no idea what that even is, but I actually came to really like it. You can really express your feelings and views on a lot of stuff that we talked about in class. And plus I am getting a grade for this and that makes it even better! Since I was not able to see the other comments last week I will reply to the other ones now. Okay Shall3-thanks for the advice on the project, I think us teaming up was a really good idea and we were able to get the things done that we really needed to! We really made a difference in their lives and also I loved to see the look on their faces. We are definitely going have to keep taming up to make our results even better. Csamuel- Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it, I was upset that I wasn’t able to set it up at my church like I planned….but that is the next step, because I really wanted to see how it would change people just by giving them clothes to wear…so now I really know. I will start the process of seeing what my church can do to take my project to the next step. Asimon, thanks for the advice, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to get over to the dorm in time to ask if they have nay clothes available for me to take. For the next school that I go to to let the kids buy, clothes, I will be sure to see what they will help me out with. Charris and Jmorgan, thanks for the advice, again I really do appreciate it. How are your projects going? I know that this is just the first step in my project and I am glad it was a true success. I will continue to heed your advice about how I can improve the future of my project. I hope all is well with everyone’s project as well.
I think that most Christians believed that the world will end in their lifetime because they were hearing it from everywhere. When the end times were talked about…they didn’t just come to existence recently. The end times have been in existence when Jesus was alive. So a lot of people thought that the end was really, really, near like a couple of weeks or months or years away. When that generation didn’t see the end times, the next generation knew for sure that they would see it because they felt that it was supposed to come in the lifetime before them. This passed from generation to generation. I honestly believe that the end times are really near. Now I know that some of you are reading this and are like what? But, I do believe in the coming of Jesus again, and I do believe that it is truly soon. My mother used to talk about how they knew that it was the end times when they were young, so I know that they are surely here now. Most of the end times are found in the book of Revelation. John wrote it and it basically depicts the events that will lead up to the end of the world. There is no specific day or time when the world is said that it is going to end.
Okay grade time!!! Don’t we all love this time? I think that it is cool that we get to blog about what grade that we think we should get on our blog and our project. Honestly everyone wants to say that they should get an A, but I really think that I should. As I sat there and read on what the needs to be met in order to receive and A, I knew that was me. Before starting this class, I knew that it would really be challenge because I was a little skeptical about writing blogs everyday and also the midterm and final exam, but as time progress I got more confident and I realized that I enjoyed doing the blog. Also the project, I really think that the project would make me feel that good to do stuff for other people, but I was truly wrong. Nothing can express how the looks on the children’s faces were when I saw that they really wanted the stuff and they were happy that it was free and actually a little shocked. I was glad that they felt even better and it helped the children’s and even their parents self esteem. Some of the workers were actually asking when was the next time that this was going to be happening. I think everyone in the class would think that my project improved the world because of how easy it was. So many people can pick up the same things that I did and also spread it around the world. My project is also improving the world because it is just not stopping there. It is going to go to churches, schools, community centers and more in order to make a difference in not just New Orleans, but in Louisiana and hopefully around in other states. This changes poverty and also causes others to look at themselves and really see if they are taking things for granted in their life. Some of us don’t even know how blessed we are. I can lead this thing into becoming something great and also really service the community. I know that this project will excel far more than what some expect and I am truly determined to achieve that. I know others saw my drive to make this become a reality and also I will someday do the thing that my project first started out to be. I want to open a community center and establish that counseling, food, and clothing services that I want to do.
