Genesis vs. Enuma Elish
In Genesis there is only God(monothesism). He Himself created everything just by speaking the words. God created man from dust, thus the saying “From dust we came and dust we shall return.” In the Enuma Elish, there are several different gods (polytheism which goes against “There shall be no other god before Me”). There were gods killing gods (going against “Thou shall not kill”, which I’m sure even gods would be held to, lol), and gods were conceived in a “hands-on way” – there was no speaking involved.
Tiglath- Pileser theory
Tiglath – Pileser I was the Assyrian from 1115 – 1076 BCE, and a natural philosopher. The Tiglath – Pileser Principle is intended to show that when a king makes a statement, the reader needs to be able to understand from the context the actual events or stats.
