Biblical prophets are people throughout history that were set out to spread the word of God.  They spent most of their time providing information to other individuals about God.  I feel that my project relates to biblical prophets because just as these individuals my project is set out to inform as many people as possible of the issue I am trying to improve.

I feel that Job’s experience relates to the people of New Orleans because both people have gone through a devastating time.  Job spent is life trying to avoid disobeying God’s laws.   He suffered and he believed that God was punishing him.  In the end Job realizes that faith in God will overcome any obstacle placed on the individual.  This is a similar feeling to what the people who experienced Hurricane Katrina felt.  Most New Orleans residents felt that God was punishing them by destroying their livelihood.  These people felt just as Job did, and they did not understand their punishment from God.  I feel that after Katrina many New Orleans residents have built a better relationship with God.

In Psalm 22 the author begins by saying “My God, my God why have you forsaken me.”  In this passage the author begins by crying out to God for help.  He is asking God why will he not come and save him.  He then further explains his suffering and asks for God’s help.  By the end of the passage he demonstrates that no matter what suffering an individual has gone through, they should never give up on God for he is their “LORD.”
