To: Whom It May Concern,
My name is Kai R. Thomas and I am writing this letter in regard of three top issues of great concern that is affecting the people of the United States of America. I myself along with many others would love to see something done to correct these issues.
My first issue is the high rate of people in this country, despite the current economic situation, who receives social security and welfare when there is absolutely nothing wrong with their health or anything that would keep them from working. I feel to believe that it is horrible to pay a young healthy person to sit home all day and keep reproducing offspring with no intentions of ever obtaining a job. The second issue flows right off of the first, I feel it is horrible for the sick and elderly to be declined time and again for government financial assistance when they really need the help to pay bills or pay for health services. My final great issue is the lack of healthcare that we have. It is preposterous that in 2009 that there are U.S. citizens who cannot go to the doctor or buy medicine. Also the women of this country need help with being educated at an early age. So illnesses such as cervical and breast cancer rates can decreases. It seems every day in my state alone the governor keeps cutting finances and declining money that can be greatly used for healthcare and to help the disabled such as the sick and elderly.
Therefore, these are great problems that I myself along with many more American citizens feel needs to be corrected.
Greatly concerned about my future,
Kai R. Thomas
God’s house the (Tabernacle) seems to give me somewhat a doubled perception of God. In one aspect I see that it would tell me that God is all about being ceremonial correct and on very precise on every aspect of all configurations made in the temple. I also grab that God is one of decency, order, and purity.
The idea of the “Promised Land” was problematic because it was not tangible to the people. Also everyone did not share the vision. It was something that the people had to believe was there all on blind faith.
African American criticism is a useful tool to Bible scholars because it actually opens the doors controversial questions that are actually insightful information. Such a controversial topic would be as the world always portraying Jesus as being a long haired, blue eyed, Caucasians man. It is typically the people of the African race that brings up the only description of Jesus which depicts him as having hair of sheep’s wool, eyes of balls of fire, and feet the color of copper. Obviously this is a description of a man of color or at least pigment.
