How do the biblical prophets relate to your project?

I think that the biblical prophets relate to my project because they give the masses hope and inspiration even when they were living at the time and a place where having hope was very hard. I too, like the prophets, am giving the young ladies of my group a chance to have hope in the things that they do decide to do. I want to show them that it does not matter what size pants you are because what you do is what will count in the end.

How does Job’s experience relate to rebuilding New Orleans?

Job’s experience has to be one of the most traumatic ones in the Bible next only I think to Jesus. He literally had to sit and watch his life be destroyed and he could do nothing about it. It was like he had no idea why he was experiencing all the bad things that were happening to him but he could not chose to ignore God’s will.Job was faithful to God and he had to get tested to show his faithfulness. Job could do nothing but sit and watch while his life unraveled at the seams. This ordeal is related to the rebuilding and destruction of New Orleans. The New Orleanians had to sit and stand by as their city is destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The city was at a peak in its history and then all of a sudden the devastating blow given by Hurricane Katrina happened. They had no power over it and they could not stop it .It is also related to Job’s story because like Job New Orleans had been faithful but their faith had to be tested. Now that they have passed the test they are able to get what they had before and a lot more. Of course, the people of New Orleans have lost a lot of things they still have their lives and they still have the ability to accept all the wonderful things that God is doing for them.

 What is psalm 22 about?

It sounds like a story about suffering and some one saying a prayer. It reminds me of the crucifixation story of Jesus. It basically seems like it is going through all the emotioned that Jesus must have gone through while up on the cross. It even uses one of the lines that they said Jesus said in one of the gospels. He said “my God, my God, why have you abandoned me.” This shows that Jesus felt a little betrayed and abandoned while up on that cross. This has to be one of the hardest things that any one person can endure. It is like the Psalm is fortelling the future which only God knows.
