The biblical prophets relate to my project because we are all called to serve God and do good works. The prophets were called to spread the message of Jesus and God; that was their way of working for God. My way of working for God is by doing this project. The prophets and I are also doing these projects for no monetary gain; we are simply doing these works just because this is what God calls us to do.

Job’s experience definitely relates to New Orleans rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina. Job’s story was about how he was a faithful man to God and because of that he was able to have a large family and many riches. However, god decided to test him and see if he would remain faithful, so he took away all of his riches, killed all of his children, and even gave him painful sores all on his body. But, in the end Job said that, “ God giveth and he taketh away.” Because of this, Job was blessed even more so that he was in the beginning with more children and better land and more wealth.  The city of New Orleans also was robbed of its riches. Now, I am not saying that God was testing us or anything like that. I am just saying that it is all about our reaction to the misfortune. Instead of crying about how unfair the city is being to certain people, people just try to accept what has happened and try to make progress. I do not mean to sound coldhearted, I just would like for people to be like Job and realize that bad things happen sometimes and although they are bad we must accept them for what they are and try to move on.

The 22nd Psalm is about the conflictions that any Christian faces. Sometimes we feel like God has abandoned us when things do not go our way. However, we need to know that god is always there for us, no matter how hard thing get for us.
