I really appreciate all of the people who took the time out to read my project. Here are my responses below:

Missnay1-  I definitely agree with you that this project has the ability to spread all over the state. It is really such a simple idea and I hope that it catches on.

volleyball1689- Yes I tried to target the age groups that are most vulnerable to the apathetic attitude that society has on education: which is our children. I am trying to present these kids with an opportunity to succeed and to know that they can succeed to the future.

Jenniferpellittieri- You brought up a good point when you said that most kids do not have the money to afford a tutor. I have also noticed that there are not a lot of free services that cater to kids, so I  am excited that I will be able to give the kids some type of direction!

dwhite9- I think that I previously stated in my shorter version of Week three that I wish to concentrate on kids from middle school, especially the ones from Truman Middle School. But, I did write a lot and I am starting to lose track of all the important point myself!!!  The reason I chose this age group is because I feel that these kids are the most vulnerable when it comes to actual education retention.

Kateyjames- Yes, it truly saddens me that New Orleans consistently has some of the worst public schools in the nation. Even if you came from a good school, sometimes people still will carry the stereotype that “ if you went to school in Louisiana, you probably are at a lower level than most.” This is why I am trying to reach out to the kids and present them with an opportunity to do well inside the classroom, even if the actual classroom is not up to par. And thank you for being interested in donating some books, I would really appreciate it if you donated some.

jivory1- Are you sure that your idea of my project hasn’t changed, bause I know that I changed my project like a bajillion times!!!!!  Yes yes yes about how kids do need reassurance that they can scholastically achieve. You really get the scope and purpose of my project! I think you are past smart and you must be telepathic because I think you are reading my mind!! J

mdeloach7- Thanks for you continued interest in my project! Well the project is going well; I feel as if I am in cruise control right now. The seminar is about to take place and I will continue the book drive throughout the summer, at least. So if you have any books to donate, it is not too late!!!!!

jle3- Yes, the project is very time consuming, especially as finals are approaching, but I know that its worth it! Helping out a child is helping out my future.

Tchevis-  Interesting thing about giving kids books overseas; I never really thought about that. There is definitely a need for educational resources overseas, especially in Africa and Thailand, and other third world countries. Maybe, if I have great success with my area, I can spread to overseas. It definitely would help me change the world a lot better!!!!!!! J

Mgirgis- That’s cool that you did really the same thing that I am doing; I am glad to see that other people see that this is a huge problem in our society. I like my plans too, all 50 million of them! J

Nuwaezuo- The work is definitely harder than most people think, so thank you for recognizing that. I hope that my project become a success too! Thanks for the kind words!!

Source criticism basically tries to reconstruct the history of the Bible. Historical texts are compared with Biblical passages, so that the validity of the Bible can be proven. Source criticism also tries to see what sources was used in making the Bible.  Textual criticism tries to look at the text determine the text’s trustworthiness ( if the text is actually right) and then it tries to correct any mistakes or loose endings with the texts. Source criticism actually compares the bible with historical texts ( dual nature) while textual criticism focuses on the historical text’s accuracy.

People consider the Maccabees to be heroic because the jews formed a liberation movement that gained independence from Antiochus IV Epiphanes of the Hellenistic Seleucid dynasty and the Maccabees founded the Hasmonean royal dynasty and established Jewish independence in the Hsamoneum Kingdom for about one hundred years, from 164 BCE to 63 BCE.
