Although I haven’t actually implemented the project yet, I have contacted a friend of mine named David Thomas, who is a Xavier graduate. Mr. Thomas is a 2008 graduate who is currently working for Bridge House as a counselor. After dicussing my project with Mr. Thomas,  I was informed that I could work during the Thanksgiving holidays as a food service assistant. I’m sure that my being there to help perfect strangers will help make a difference theire lives. I will help the residents realize that they are valuable to this world. They will also be made aware of the fact that there is hope for them and recovery is posible. The more they realize that they are valuble human beings, who are worthy to us, they will want to become an asset to their community, their family and themselves. I may even continue to volunteer my services.  Afterall, I do intend to help change the world.   As a professional, I plan to use the skills of helping others to better their lives combined with my teaching of instrumental music. While teaching instrumental music to young children, I will get the opportunity to talk to them about the dangers  of drugs and other prblems which can slow down their growth process. I’ll be  working with elmentary to middleschool level students. At a young, they need to learn of the dangers of various obstacles, which can hinder them for accomplishing their carreer goals. While learning music, they are learning  to become productive citizen.  I always  inform my students to  avoid association with negative influences. When kids are in your care for several hours, it’s our responsibility to teach them how to become profession. There are many ways that this class can be help in a carreer and I intend to apply them mine.
