Responding to Comments: Part Two

331 words by Jason White

The comments that I received were only a few more than what I had for the first responding to comments section. Overall, I was very pleased with the comments that I received. Most of the people who commented on my project liked my idea of increasing the number of critical thinkers in the world. They agreed with me that the world as it is today is full of talkers who do not take action. A main reason why those people cannot take action is because they do not think about what should be done in response to something inhumane. Most of the time they just choose to complain about it and talk about what is needed instead of taking actions to make sure what is needed actually happens. People are being passiveto the evil that men like Bush do and just hope that another president will solve the problem. What they do not realize is that it is the system that needs the readjustment for it is what oppresses the people. The comments I received were supportive of thinking outside the box and being serious about change in our society not only with thoughts but with action. Our nation is stagnant right now in terms of progress toward a more just society and it is good to see that other students besides me see the importance of people using their minds so that they can take action against anything that is unjust. I only wish that more students had the opportunity to read my blog and stimulate their minds with something thought provoking. I wanted to see how other students felt about my project and converse with them about it. I only received six blogs at most about my project, but I guess I could have received more comments had I read more people\’s projects and responded to them. Either way it is good to see that people recognize the importance of their minds and how they must be used.
