All I Can Say

I can honestly say that I feel good and shocked about what people are saying about the project. Initially I did not know what comments to expect from people. I sometimes felt as if I was going off on the deep end, and everyone would think I was the crazy dude that sat in the back corner of the room. Its always been in man’s nature to dislike something that is different; but at the same time, I should not prejudge someonelses views. Not that world commerciailism is something new, but it is something that was ignored by many people. Usually the ones consumed in unnecessary consumer goods. One reason it was ignored , I believe, is because people do not fear what they choose to ignore, or have never known. If we are constantly surrounded by commercialism, it eventually becomes a part of our being. Hopefully, we as free thinking human beings, can look past that veil of commercialism and materialism into what life is really about. I mean think about it, you would honestly be just as happy making money to where you always have food in you refrigerator, drive a nice sedan or sports car, and living in a moderate sized house with your family. What’s the point of getting a car note, and expensive mortgage. The money that you are spending on all that unnecessary stuff, I can: save, go around the world, put my children through college without loans and worries, along with a lot of other things. It is possible to live very comfortably without putting yourself in the hole. I believe it is a big system in which every commercial, ad, and plug, is setup to persuade the buyer to getting more in debt to the system that put theme there in the first place. If you have not noticed, I am not really responding to each individual comment because the majority of them were the same. So I am going to respond to them all as one. The comments that I received, as I stated before, was a complete shocker to me because I thought that I was getting to philosophical and out of place to the theme that Dr. Homan expected. But I have to make this writing blogs relate somehow to theology to keep my interest peaked. Anyway, the comments that I received were pretty much positive. Someone even took the liberty to tell me to start coming to class more often to share my ideas. My rebuttle is, we don’t talk about the type of problems that we are addressing as blogs in class. If we talked more about how the problems relate, then you would see me in class everyday. I guess that is another course. I must be thinking that I am in a philosophy or sociology course. But, still, I want the blogs to relate to theology somehow. Maybe I’ll be at my house and all of a sudden, it will hit me. Right now, I’m still waiting to be knocked out. I really and truly do appreciate the comments. For a while, the comments had me looking forward to checking my email everyday. I really don’t know what else I can say about the comments that were written about my past blog, but thank you for your comments, I really do value them.
