Reflection

These bloggs have been so challenging in that sense that most of the time I just don’t feel like doing them but then I realize why I am assigned to do them. This project has been a great experience and it has help me to see life in a whole different light. I now see things and people for what they really are. I also have a new found respect for people who volunteer because some of those people do things that are not within their job description, and they don’t get paid anything for it, but they feel that they recieve payment for what they do when they help someone. So. now I have learned to not always look for monetary gifts when I help someone or do something for someone who is less frotunate than I am because as a christian and as an American citizen I have a duty to help those who are in need. I do feel that I have improved the world because the goal was to help as many people as possible and hopefully the people that I help will have the same compassion as I did to further help themselves and someone else. So though I have not exceeded the capacity of individuals that I would like to have helped I do feel that what I have instilled in those individuals will be incentive for them to help some one else or just help themselves. This project was a bit strenuous and time consuming but I enjoyed it because it made me a better person and I put forth a lot of effort to do something worth while for some one else with out recieving a gift or anythignfor it. I also feel that this experience is something that I wil;l take with me for the rest of my life because it was something positive that I got out of my stay here in New Orleans, and this experience also allowed me to learn of so many things that New Orleans has to offer that I didn’t know even existed.
