Previously our government’s status has been great. We have had many great leaders to rule our country. Our government was in the involvement with trading different supplies with other countries. Since President George Bush has been in office many destructional things have occurred such as: the War and Hurricane Katrina.
September 11 was an awaking for our country from Bin Laden in Afghanistan. This tragedy hurt millions of people and left our government no choice to go to war with them. Unfortunately we could not find Bin Laden to seek revenge. President Bush decides to go to call a war in Iraq and capture Suddan Hussein. First off we are at war with the wrong people. Why start a war and loose more troops and hurt more families when they aren’t even the target?
Hurricane Katrina was also another major tragedy that took place in New Orleans. First the Hurricane hit on August 29, 2005, then the levees broke on August 30th overflowing the city with water. Homes, Businesses, belongings and Love ones were destroyed. Bush, our President did nothing to help this situation. Bush came to New Orleans for 10 minutes and left. He did not look around, walk the streets to see what’s really going on, or leave with any remarks to help anyone. What type of President doesn’t have sympathy for one of his own states? It is now January 31, 2006 and the Levees still haven’t been fixed and Hurricane season is right around the corner. What’s going to happen next?
Our Economy is rapidly decreasing in businesses, jobs, and money. Businesses are losing its value in products, and customers because of the scare supplies that our country is able to provide.Jobs are becoming slim because of the lack of being able to pay for the labor. Bush has raised the prices on everything, making it impossible to be able to live comfortable for those of lower class to be able to pat for anything. With all these issues our nation has turned into a mad place with no direction.
Expenses are out of control since the Hurricane. Gas, apartments, food, and etc. prices have sky rocketed. With this issue the government is not doing anything about it to help those who have loss everything and do not have the money to pay for anything. Some people are making it impossible for others to survive. What is really happening to our country? There seems to be no answers for the questions millions are asking.
Another problem is that State officials main priority in the government has decided to use civil litigation to challenge such problems as crimes. Crime is any violation of the criminal law. Whereas, litigation is a lawsuit or a series of lawsuits. Litigation involves presenting cases before a judge or jury. State officials believe that by doing this, they can possibly cut down on crime. They believe this because many people want to skip the hassle of going through a lawsuit. If you violate a law, a consequence should be given. In the “High-Impact Litigation” people that sold guns, also known as gun dealers, could have been prosecuted. This is because they were involved in helping the crime rate rise since they sold the guns on the streets.
Mass tort litigation is a relatively new area of law, which has been created by society’s advances in marketing, producing, and distributing products. The similarity of the wrong (tort) that was committed against numerous people allows their claims to be heard together. This bundling of claims promotes judicial economy, but also creates a variety of new economic incentives and disincentives for both plaintiffs and defendants. There are many examples of mass tort litigation: products liability claims (shareholder actions), large business antitrust claims, as well as large man made disasters (airplane crashes).
All states seem to have different policies as well as problems. A lawsuit was filed dealing with the gun control problem in Chicago. This crime went from involving gun dealers to gun manufactures also. State officials believe that they can save money on crimes if they start lawsuits, because hopefully crime would be cut back so they wouldn’t have to go through the process of a lawsuit. This is due to the fact that less people want to face lawsuits. This role tells us a lot about the civil litigation in our legal system. It tells us that they are at least trying to do something to cut down crime. Authorities in the legal system believe that many people try to avoid lawsuits, so what better way to get them to do things legally.
In conclusion, our government needs to step up. Our President is our main downfall right now. He has a lot of pressure on him, so that is one reason why he is doing poorly. However, I do feel that he is trying. I believe that the people appointed under him needs to step up and help him. If everyone comes together, more can be accomplished. We wouldn’t be fighting or having battles with other countries. Also, we would be able to get New Orleans levees fixed on time. Basically, our government is going through toil right now. With better administration, we will have a better government system.

You make a lot of points that have been previously stated in the media, but what do you plan to do about it. What issue are you going to tackle and what plan have you devised to implement this plan. Are you going to rally with those for gun control? How do you plan to get others involved, or fund your idea? Are you going to start locally with your school or community? I think you make some good points, but you didn’t state what you personally were going to do about it.
