Not only is archeology a type of scientific study, it also involves dirt and adventure. According to (site goes here), archeology is “the scientific examination of material remains from humans in the past.” When related to the bible, this scientific study most often refers Arabic or Hebrew words translating to mean, “small mounds”. When an archeologist studies their finds, they use a collection of tools which include trowels. After the objects or mounds are investigated, they are recorded as a 5×5 square surface is mapped out. Within these studies, he or she can explore many areas. Of these areas, the Bible may be related in some ways. For instance, some of the artifacts found can be traced back many years ago, as they have some connection with the Bible and its days. Even though archeologists try to prove that certain artifacts come from back then, they sometimes receive a “bad rap”. Some biblical archeologists have traveled to the holy land in order to prove that certain parts of the bible were true, however we may never know for sure what is fact or fiction.

All this history and excitement I would love to participate in an archaeological excavation of a biblical cite. I have always found archaeology interesting and for a moment, I though of possibly making it my profession. But I finally came to my senses and realized I do not have the patients to do that everyday. But I most certainly would like to participate in one to gain the experience.
The vertical vs. horizon debate is centered on the actual digging of an archaeological excavation. The debate is a basic argument on the way things where done in the past and the acceptance of a new idea. The way it has always been done is the horizon approach. In this approach, the sight is dug horizontally and the room is exposed horizontally. In the vertical approach, the archaeologists dig vertically to show the relationship between strata, or the layers of the site. This way a relationship is shown and people can document the history and change overtime that took place in that one site because it is all stacked on top of each other.
Humans make creation myths for one reason, to make sense of the way things are. For example Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and thus they began to notice they are naked. Adam and Eve become curious and that is the reason why us humans are curious today. I think the creation myth, Enuma Elish, is the most interesting because of its story. I found it interesting because it tolled a story in detail and kept me interested from tablet to tablet. All of the creation myths have several things in common. Each story line tells of a man and a woman, although not created back to back, a man and a woman are both present. Also the stories tell of God having human like qualities. For example, the authors had God walking around, and breathing air, and also, in the theology of Memphis story and Genesis, speaking is very common.
