Dear President Bush:
Hello, my name is Bradley Cherrie and I have a few questions for you. I was asked by my theology teacher to address problem that will change the world. Why are so many American soldiers dieing in these foreign countries? We have not found any weapons of mass destruction. The United States has been in shambles since you took office. I would also like to ask you what happened to New Orleans when Katrina hit? We were treated like a third world, this is America. My grandmother died because you didn’t help us when we needed you. The only possible solution to the problem would be to rebuild the levels so that New Orleans areas will comeback. My second solution would be to give up the war with these foreign countries and give the money to rebuild the levels.

Dear Senator Landrieu:
My name is Bradley Cherrie and I am a sophomore at Xavier University and my theology teacher wants to blog on ways I can change the world. I think you need to find ways to pump money in the economy. We are in need for help, we are calling for help. It is hard to realize that many neighborhoods will never come back. I personally have to raise my parent’s house 8 feet in order to build back. I don’t think it will ever be the same in New Orleans. It will be very long even for New Orleans to come back to normal.

Mr. C. Ray Nagin,
Hello, my name is Bradley Cherrie and I am presently a sophomore at Xavier University. I am faced with the question of how I can change the world. I think the court system has a lot of problems. The court system is discriminates against people because of a person’s nationality. The court systems seem to let the criminal go, and jail the innocent people. I also think that the way you responded to Katrina was terrible. Millions of American citizens realize what you have done to us when we vote. I think you should restructure the entire court system. I don’t have and suggestions on the response to Katrina statement. Wish you luck in the election.

Dear John Paul
Hey my name is Bradley Cherrie and I am a sophomore at Xavier University of New Orleans. I would like to ask you why are so many priests being brought to court and convicted of child molestation. I think there are many reasons why this could happen. Priest has to live an isolated life, and they can’t get married. I think priest should have the choice if they want to get married. This may adjust the ongoing problem. This is real popular in the Catholic religion. The Baptist are given the right to chose a wife or not. I don’t hear that much about molestation going on with Baptist people. I know it still exist, just not as much.

The word prophet comes from the nabi word meaning “one who is called.” The word prophet comes from the Greek word prophet, which means “to speak on behalf of another.” Picking out a true prophet may be hard because so many people claim to be prophets. Some people think that a prophet is a Miss Cleo. This may be a prophet but one must watch out! A prophet is a person who has the job of predicting the future. Prophets also advise leaders, exacting change, perform symbolic acts, and declare oracles. The prophets predict the future events from an adviser card. The predictions can range from sex of unborn child to predict ones future. In order for a prophet to become well know they must give good advice. Advising a leader means the king had to be approved by God in order to embark on a journey. A prophet had the job of tell people what God though about the person that came to the prophet. The King may not like what a prophet say so a lot of corruption can go on. The Exacting change is where the prophets work hard to get the people to reflect their beliefs. The performing symbolic acts were the prophet conveyed messages by dramatic action. In the story, the prophet Ezekiel is cooking to symbolize uncleanness, Hosea is to marry a prostitute to symbolize unfaithfulness, and Isaiah is asked to be naked for three years to symbolize shame and judgment. The declaring oracles are most common when a prophet is going to delivered Gods message. The messages themselves are called oracles. The oracles warn a put that they need to flight right and repent.
Isaiah and Jeremiah were two major prophets of the eight century. These two prophets have very similar messages. The message is that a person must follow God’s law or you will be punished. Isaiah is the best know prophet of them all. God appears to him in a vision, God told Isaiah that Judah would be destroyed because of the sacrifice the people were making for the Gods. God spoke threw people to tell the people what he is feeling. God is somebody who will keep tells someone that they are on the wrong track. Jeremiah on the other hand, is known as the weeping prophet or the most depressed prophet in the Bible. This prophet was born in Anathoth, a few miles north of Jerusalem. He is a good prophet even if he keeps telling God that he isn’t “fit for the job.” God made a new covenant with Jeremiah. God wanted Israel to obey his laws; Jerusalem was soon destroyed and taken over by the Babylonian.
In the six century the conquest of Babylonia, caused the people to have a sense of hope. The people didn’t feel hopeful, it anything they were down and out. In Ezekiel’s writing, it seems like god wanted Ezekiel to help his people gain a sense of hope. Hope can help a person get threw a lot in life with hope.
My favorite prophet would have to be Hosea. I like Hosea because he is different from a lot of the other prophets. He had to marry a prostitute in order to keep his covenant with God. Then after all of Hosea’s problems, his wife left him. I like the fact that this Prophet went threw so much and still kept his head up.
I can relate Jeremiah to my paper first. The weeping prophet in lamentations lived through a time were many tragedy occurred. New Orleans like this place just mentioned is also going through tragedy too. As time passes by, we know that the Lord is with is every step of the way. God doesn’t want his people to look at the negative side of situations. Things are getting better; we must be calm and wait. I also feel that Isaiah views can be in my paper too. In both Isaiah and Jeremiah, God tells the people to repent; they didn’t, so God took away thing that they liked a lot of. They had a lot of poverty, murder, sex, and etc going on before the storm. I think God sent Katrina to show Louisiana that you all are not as big and bad as you think. This is just my views on the storm.
