“They hatin cause I’m on the grind like I’m makin love
When cops got the block hot like Jamaican clubs
Cop wait, wait for a drought, and then make it flood
Try take my cake you ‘gon take a slug
But you can take my information if you takin drugs
Cause I could sell Raid to a bug
I’m a hustler! I could sell salt to a slug cuz”
I posted some of the lyrics to Cassidy’s song “I’m a Hustla” because I feel like that’s what I am doing. I could just scream with excitement. It is almost as if people are signing up to help me. I really was not expecting to get as much help as I am getting. I am very thankful for all of the help that I am receiving though. I expected my project to turn out good, but not this good! It still is a process, but we are making progress and I thank God for that much!
What made me think of the song was Walter, one of the chef’s at Cafe’ Reconcile. When Walter heard the report of how much funds we generated so far at the last meeting he replied, ” You hustling people, hunh lil mama? ” I replied with a smirk, ” No, I’m just doing what I have to do to help my community.” ” At least you not selling people on false dreams. You doing something positive. Here is two dollars towards being positive!” Of course, I was like ” He is being cheap, ” but every little bit of furniture, money, volunteer hours, and support helps.
I feel really good about what I am doing though! I do not think I mentioned that and if I did maybe I need to mention it again. My insides feel all tingly inside like I normally feel around Christmas. Its a good feeling, weird, but good. We just recently had another meeting. In this meeting we came to the conclusion that we are going to have to put up flyers for our program around FEMA disaster centers (with their permission only). We are going to operate during normal business hours of Cafe’ Reconcile, which will be from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. I think that these are pretty good business hours. WE HAVE TO GET A PHONE LINE JUST FOR DISASTER HELP. We are trying to decide if we want to host a forum to discuss what is going on with the upcoming election. Money is coming in. I, along with another director of Cafe’ Reconcile, am writing letters to local artists. We are trying to get them involved in the benefit as much as possible. Everything is one process after process, but it feels good to be able to say that we are making progress. We have determined how we will determine who gets help from us. We have started the community aspect of it. We do afternoon tutoring, and activities on Saturdays with the kids. We need to set a date for our first fundraiser, which is the Katrina Kids fundraiser.
I realy would like to see all aspects of my project up and running by May first. Joan at Cafe’ reconcile told me not to bet any money on it because its going to be very hard work getting every single aspect of the project in on the action. Therefore, we are moving each part in step by step. It sucks that I could not just jump straight in and say, “Here is what i want to do. I will be back tomorrow with people that need help for us to start helping them.” That actually sounds like I am being lazy, so let me rephrase that, ” I want to help people, can we start tomorrow?” I am okay with the step process though. At least my project will actually come through. I will have the evidence needed to prove that I actually done something, other than ran mouth, to help the city and the community that I live in.
Wikipedia says, ” Ecclesiates is a book of the Hebrew bible, whose name is derived from the Heberew language.” This book of the bible is very controversial when it comes to the author. Some people believe that it is Solomon who wrote the book and some believe that it must a successor of Solomon.

6. When you have a Beer, you don’t knock on people’s doors trying to give it away.
5. Nobody’s ever been burned at the stake, hanged, or tortured over his brand of Beer.
4. You don’t have to wait 2000+ years for a second Beer.
3. There are laws saying Beer labels can’t lie to you.
2. You can prove you have a Beer.
1. If you’ve devoted your life to Beer, there are groups to help you stop.
Alcohol played a major role in ancient religion because people that lived back in those days thought God created liquor. God created wine to drink, not liquor like they were drinking.
Textual criticism is when only the text is analyzed. Source criticism is when the sources are analyzed and deemed to be true or not. They are both valuable tools when reading because they help one determine what is true and what is not even worth reading.
People think that Moses wrote the Torah because all of the passages in the bible contain him. Moses could not have wrote the bible because the language that is used in the Torah is after the time that Moses lived (1200). The text was written 400 years after Moses died. At the end of the Torah, Moses’ death is discussed. How can he write a story at the same time he has died at the end of it?
The J source is for Jahweh, which was around 840 BC under Jehoroam. The J source has the only author who is not a priest. He lives in Judah. The stories are about women and their issues, which makes people believe that the author is a woman. The stories are also full of talking animals, dreams, and sex. This author is also the only author who could be a woman because women can not be priest.
The E source stands for Elohim, which is around 922-722 BC. The story talks of the Moshite priest in Israel who is very frustrated. The author is very upset with Jeroboam because he appointed a paid priest instead of appointing him.
The Priestly source is around 700 Bc which is under Hezekiah’s rule. This is the easiest source to identify because there are no talking animals, prophets, or dreams. It provides the theory of going to a priest to hear from God. It also teaches the lesson that God is just, if you do something wrong, you go to a priest and the priest will tell you what to sacrifice and how to fix it.
Deuteromistic 1’s author is a Mushite priest. It covers 622-609. Deuteromistic 2 is Baruch after 587 BCE. This story brings hope to exile Judeans. It emphasizes God’s forgiving nature. The major lesson in this story tells people that if they abandon their other Gods and worship Yahweh then he will forgive you.
In 586 BCE, Jerusalem is destroyed.
