there are many problems that are facing the world today. if one were to open the newspaper, one hundred problems would present themselves. with that being stated, if someone were to ask me the three biggest problems that face the world today, i would have to ask them to give me a minute. however, it seems that i am being forced to give a responce. in my opinion, the three biggest problems that are facing the world today are:

1. AIDS epidemic in America and abroad (but mainly Africa)
2. Insufficient food supply to underdeveloped yet populous countries.
3. Racial and religious strife.

in my opinion, if these three problems were solved or eradicated, it would result not only in a better world but a better human kind.
i chose these three problems becauase there is one thing that they have in common: they all take away life. For instance, the AIDS epidemic claims the lives of millions upon millions of people each year. this disease claims the lives of people who could have positively contributed to society. it kills dreams, breaks up families, and has put a sad cloud over the whole world.
the problem with world hunger is important to me because it baffles me. it baffles me because how can some of the most populated areas that contribute to world trade be unable to feed its countrymen while other less populated countries can and on top of that have a surplus amount of food. Malnutrition kills thousands everyday. that is more innocent life that is being surrendered to the problems of this world.
and the last problem racial and religious conflicts is a concern of mine. however, i am not optimistic that this problem will ever be solved because the beliefs that people have about rance and ,most importantly at time., religious belief is soo ingrained in their minds that they will not open thier minds to accept other ideas.

with all that being said, i think that the two that i can most help to solve are the first two.
