ENHANCEMENT OF STUDENTS ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE
The idea of blogging , in my own opinion is a very potential tool that enhances the student’s ability to communicate effectively, with the instructors, fellow students and generally. It allows students the freewill and power to communicate ideas, share responces, inquire and analyse issues critically. It exposed and enhanced my criticall thinking abilities while helping me communicate well. For instance, i got favourable and critical respoonses about my project through the other students that responded to my work, their ability to respond and communicate effectively with me was a product of the learning and writting skills they learned from communicating in class. More so, i inturn was able to create an increased awareness , concerning the issue of the genocide in Darfur trhrough the same medium. A considerable an=mount of students knew nothing about the region let alon its turmoil until they heard about my project, it certainly helped me communicate the evnts to my fellow students. If for instance i did not have the opportunity that this class accorded me, i would not have had the chance to share my knowledge about the region or the trips i mad to there in the past. As regards criticall thinking, the course has really enhance my ability to do so. I am a lot more assertive , conscious, inquisitive, critical and tolerant when it comes to knowledge, especially the assimilation of new knowledge as it becomes available. I have become aware of the existence of such skills as text, source, literary and historical criticism and how it applies to learning. My critical analysis os several subject matter has also enhanced and i am less likely now to believe anything by mere trust; observation and verification has become a lot more important to me.
WORLD IMPROVEMENT
In all honesty, i cannot precisely say that my project or this course has single handedly improve the entire state of affairs in the world , however, i can say that it has trully been a very good start. My project focdued on the creation of awareness of the issue surrounding the genocide in Darfur; it s origins, consequence and relevance to the globall community. although we have religiously administered our effort where needed, we have also met some obstacles accordingly. My project has threrefore, contributed its own small portion towards the realisation of a better world. It has made a lot more people aware of the situation in Darfur and how they can help, it has given out fliers and related to persons asking for their support. Hopefully, it shall eventually grow into something big enough to curtail the growth of this menace.
