Basically my project for this semester is to deal with people that have high blood pressure. Not many people know whether or not they have high blood pressure because it does not have any symptoms. What i can do is buy the machine and test any person that i interact with to see if they have the disease. Because if left untreated HBP can lead to other disease.

This sounds like an OK project. How many people do you intend to examine this semester? Can you teach them how to take their own blood pressure? What else could you do to widen the scope?

MAYBE YOU COULD HOLD A MEETING(S) SOMEWHERE AND HAVE FREE TEST FOR ALL WHO COME. MAKE SURE TO PUT IT IN THE FLYERS OR AD. THIS COULD DRAW MORE PEOPLE BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE DON’T LIKE GOING TO DOCTORS.

I like your idea. You could have a stand at school that promotes hypertension awareness. This way people that walks by might stop so you could take their blood pressure. Another way you can promote awareness is among the Vietnamese community especially the elders. Since Linh Han is having classes to teach them English, you can be their to educate them about high blood pressure.

A great way to promote your project about high blood pressure is to talk about the topic during mass at a church. By doing this, many people will be aware of high blood pressure, and then you can advertise the machine that you are going to buy and have people test it out. Moreover, you can make a speech about high blood pressure in other communities and schools to spread the word.

This would be a nice project. Maybe you can test people around your neighborhood, as well as at school, church, etc. And you can also pass out information regarding High Blood Pressure, the dangers of it, the high risks, etc.

I think that you have a great idea. As for me, coming from a family with a history of HB pressure, I generally get checked every 6 months. My father passed away from it. Now my mom and aunt has it. You can also talk about prevention methods and ways to reduce HB pressure.

This is a good project to do. Are you just going to test random people like that out of nowhere? I think it would also be a good idea to post up flyers or send out email and let people know that you are doing this. You can also lecture on how dangerous high blood pressure can be, how to keep their blood pressure low, maintaining their diet, checking their own blood pressure, etc. Good luck on the project. Please keep us updated on your project.

I think this is a good idea because there are many people with high blood pressure. Who exactly are you testing for high blood pressure? Well, I think that maybe in addition to testing people for high blood pressure maybe you can inform others on how to treat or where to go to for treatment if they have this illness. Also, how about informing the younger generation on how to prevent high blood pressure and tell them what causes high blood pressure because sometimes it can be genetic too. You can also include what diseases it may cause if it is left untreated and maybe it can convince some people to make healthier choices if this is the problem your aiming at.

Nice project. High blood pressure is a big problem if left untreated. For prevention of those young ones, you should inform the parents to feed their children the right foods and not to eat much sweets. You can also inform people of the effects of high blood pressure if left untreated. Good luck

High blood pressure is a big problem. I think your project may help some people in a good way. People who did not know they have high blood pressure may not find out until they get tested by you. Maybe you can post up fliers around and advertise about this situation. You can let others know more information about high blood pressure and how big of a problem it is when left untreated.

Your project is a good idea. As i commented in another student’s blog, I feel that awareness is ver important. Most people are not aware of what they do. HBP starts with people when their young. If you inform adults about HBP, then they can pass on the information and practices to children. Good Luck
