Implementation (week 9)

1047 words by HoaTran

This week I have to focus on my project and the outcome of it. Also explain the meaning of the Prophet that I have learned.

For this short section of this blog, I want to thank the follow people who helped me and stand by me. There are many names to put down, but you know who you are, all my Xavier students who commented me, my staff, friends and the volunteer group who still walk for the hunger on this day. As we proceed ourselves to the next level we hope to find our heart and understand how helping one another by contributed life to the need. By ending the project one day, I hope there will be someone out there that can carry on the work of God and help the needs.

From the beginning of my project to the outcome of it today, it has been going really well. Once again I would like to thank those who have commented me, gave me courage and highly supported me throughout this stressful and caring project. As of this day, I have done the same as I have done through the times I held doing the project, I serve those who needed someone to be there and serve those who were in desperate help of food and shelters. Even though I did not get a chance to open my own shelter, I still walk around neighborhoods located in New Orleans and provide them with the care they need. The main thing I concern with is the population of the amount of more homeless people in this city. Even though this city has a high problem with murder rate, and still do until this day, with that in our hand not speaking with that issue affecting children being homeless without parents or relatives. With all the issues occurring, I still try to maintain a positive heart with the help of my fellow friends who stand by my side throughout this project. The more we see people being hurt, the more motivation we receive from ourselves and others. It may be easy for those who give up in life, but it’s hard to keep up with it. Only way to do that is to keep you up and always believe in God, with him beside us nothing can go wrong. I would never thought this project would last this long proceeding this day, but once again I said, believe in God and he will guide you, like the way he’s doing to me and my fellow friends. As time past, day past, and life grow older we understand that the more we follow ourselves through this world we will find a path for ourselves and others. Later in life, we will find someone we will love for the rest of our lives under God’s law of Matrimony. When we get to that young of having to deal with kids, we will teach them the quantity of life, and how they should take care the one who needs more and give to those who need it more than we do.

According to the Deuteronomistic Historian a good king would consider himself as a great and caring majesty. Also in the bible in which we have to read for our course tells us that a Deuteronomistic Historian makes a good king by worshipping and praying his God. As of people might say to each other, George W. Bush is a wonderful, or people might say because of George W. Bush United States is fallen apart. They can think the way they think, they can share different opinion, people say what they want to say, but from my point of view; George W. Bush is both a good and bad man. His respect for others shows many that he can evolve himself into a person that convince of good manners. Yes, mostly think why did he bring this world into a war? United States fighting the war in Iraq, from that I believe he’s a bad man not a good Deuteronomistic Historian, because I have learned from God that you should love one another as you love yourself. Do not fight battles because someone else did something wrong? Just be the bigger man and sit down, talk and let everything work out later on. What it may be that how the war had started, is because Bush believes that without a fight they will not let us go and still bully our country. That’s not the fact, its because he is scared for our country, he’s scared to stand up on his two feet and show of important it is for a person to talk to another person in the eyes, like Jesus Christ did with King Herald. In the bible it explains that the word prophets mean nabi in Hebrews. It also means one who is called to do something in which it helps another. From my project, nabi is the word to describe what I and my fellow friends are doing, we sharing our life and sharing our honor to help those who are in need of us. We not only have the same feelings, but we share the same respect of others. Like how God has explained to us, being a good prophet is being someone you never thought you can be. I never thought I can become somewhere who care so much about something that is not even my business. Even as if homeless people are not my family biologically, they are my family inside and outside of my heart and soul. As everyone knows, the farther we get within ourselves the more we gain from our mind, not many teenagers look at it that way, not worrying about others but themselves, but me I worry others more than I worry about myself and that is what God is showed me to be. As a prophet I understand the courage of how to love, cherish and respect others. As our generation grows older, more of our young kids grow up to know how to show themselves a good time with others and not disrespect one another because what he or she doesn’t have.

I’m really glad your project has been a success. By reading your blogs I can tell that you’re determined to change the world and make a difference in people’s lives. Your project should be an inspiration for this world not to be so selfish and begin to care for other people like you have done. Your project is great good luck with the rest of your implementations.

hoa, through reading your initial project and then the progress i am very impressed! you took on a much larger project in my eyes. you contacted necessary and influential people who just might be willing to help and stop overlooking homelessness in the city and eventually the country. i mean, you received funds from your church through putting an awesome idea out there! that took guts and i applaud you! so congratulations and good luck in thenext few weeks!

I still agree that there is a serious need for organizations to be formed to help the homeless. And I am glad to know that you did not become discouraged when you discovered that you would not be able to open your own shelter but instead decided to do whatever you could to help out. Although so may see you decision to help whomever you found to be in need to be a minor contribution I agree with your concept that if you can help one person in society who decides to help someone else as you have helped them you will be slowing changing the world. And this is what the assignment was all about…great job!

Great job thus far, but I’m not sure if I understand exactly what the focus of your project was. What do you mean when you say you are serving those in need of someone to be there or of food and shelter? I know you said you wanted to start a shelter, which a not an easy task, but it seems that you are happy with the progress of your project so it must be a good and positive thing that you are doing! Keep it up :)

Hoa, first I would like to say that it brings a smile to my face and to my heart to know that there are people out there in this world who wants to make a change in world and most importantly puts God first in their endeavor. I think that it is also good that you want to open your own shelter, maybe when you get prominent in your profession these plans will not go buried and unseen. So I hope that even though the end of the semester is drawing near you will not stop in the implementation of your project.

Hoa, my friend, I think your project has gone down the road of success. You have taken a big step and have been very passionate about accomplishing your goal or goals. I thought I was the only person that was concern about homelessness but I see I am not aolne. I’m glad that you are taking the initiative to maintain homlessness because stopping homelessness is a very hard task and not much money is provided to do so. Through your determination it seems that you are on the right track, keep up the good work!

  7. hjones1 Says:

Hey Hoa, I think you have done a great job with your project. Starting a shelter did seem like it would be a difficult project, but you found another way to help the homeless. I think that it is great that you are taking time to give to the homeless because it is easy for people to overlook them. There are so many problems the world is facing today and people seem to forget the high levels of poverty and homelessness. I am glad that you are reaching to adults and children who need help. It shows people that someone does care. Great Job!!!

Hoa, my good friend, glad to hear your project is turning out so great! Your project is sort of simlar to mine, but main thing behind our project is that we’re helping out the poor and those who are in need of food and shelter. I like the fact you actually put out effort and walk around the neighborhood to see who needs help. Its okay if you weren’t able to open your own shelter, putting out effort to help those in need is good enough. I agree with you when you said seeing homeless people motivates you to help out others; I feel the same way. Well it’s good to hear that your project is turning out good. Good Luck!
