Job’s experience parallels what happened to the city of New Orleans. Job was a good man who worshipped God. There was a bet between God and Ha-Satan that would test Job’s loyalty and faith in God. Job’s family is murdered, he gets sick, his oxen are stolen and it seemed like everything that could possibly go wrong did go wrong. After all of this, he never cursed God and eventually after seeing this God replaced all of Job’s possesions. Job’s experience can be related to the rebuilding of New Orleans because a lot of bad things happened to good people but as long as people stick by God, everything can be replaced.

The quote is: “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me, and why are you so far from my deliverance?”-Psalm 22
This is about a person who is begging God for mercy and asking God why it is taking so long for God to save him.
