My project involves helping people get the necessary information about health care that is needed to help them to better their health. It involves having health professions come out and speak to people about the issues that are having a huge effect on their community or they could give suggestions on the various ways to prevent the diseases and illnesses. The whole idea about prevention is that it is kind of late to wait until the person gets the disease to try and come up with ways to treat them. It would be more effective to catch the issue early, before it becomes and issue and inform people about the things that they need to watch for or even the things that they need to stop since they are bad for them. Once the issue of prevention is addressed, the issue of treatment is next.

This is a good idea, but how exactly do you plan on putting it into motion? Do you know where and when these talks will talk place? Are these doctors who are going to do the talks going to get paid and if they are how are you going to get the money to pay them? You need to put more details into your plan.

I think that your project is a great idea! Our community is in dire need of something like this, especially if we want to decrease the rate of exposure to AIDS. I think that having health professions come out to speak is a good idea, but how are you going to get the people in the community to actually come out to these informational forums? And, will the professionals be coming on a volunteer basis?

I like the idea. How do you plan to do this? Its one thing to get professionals to come out and talk, but how do you plan to get people to go? Notice that we have all kinds of seminars and informationals on health related issues but how many people show up? I think brochures in lobbies help. People tend to at least glance at then and skim through them while they are waiting. Maybe if you incorporate that heath part into another already scheduled performance or program around the city. Then people will pay attention becaus ethey arent expexting it. I wonder if you could post informational flyers in gas stations or other public places.That might make the information more wide spread.

I love your idea!!! I agree that prevention is a major aspect of health care. In addition to having health professionals come out, I think that would be extremely effective if you brought in people who are actually suffering from the health problems you are discussing. Sometimes people are inspired or motivated by the stories of others. I mentioned this on another persons project but I think that you should also provide information on how to make healthcare affordable and natural ways to prevent some of these illnesses. Other than that I like your ideas and look forward to getting a update

Having the normal person more knowledgeable about health care is important, but most people that go in for yearly checkups are informed of what they need to do to stay healthy, but they chose to ignore what the doctor tells them. What exactly are you doing with this project? How are you going to do this? How are you going to get the health care professionals to come out and give these talks?

This is a good idea because most people do not know a lot about health care. I would love to learn about prevention of illnesses and diseases. How do you plan to get the doctors involved? Which diseases and illnesses are they going to talk about since there are so many? Oh, and how are the people going to know when these doctors are giving these talks?

you have a wonderful idea. health care is is a very difficult subject to understand. Who are you going to have to interpret certain medication to people and where are you planning on informing the people.

I really like your project that you choose. I work at the Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Mandeville and help customers on an everyday basis choose various types of Medicare Part D Plans. I have to agree that many individuals do not understand how or what plan to choose. I have made it possible for many individuals to obtain there medications at a much reduced cost with the Medicare Part D Plans. I wish you much success with this project.

Great idea! Health care is one of the most important things . Too many people die from diseases that we are unable to treat because they waited too long. Where are you going to get the doctors?

I think you have a great idea for a project because so many people in our society lose their lives because they are not aware of the importance of health care. I think that by having health professionals come out and speak to the community you will help many people go on to live healthier and happier lives. So do you have a particular hospital that you will invite health professionals from? Doyou work or volunteer at a hospital?

This is a wonderful project. I’m curious about how you are going to get everything together. I think a great resource would be Campus health service. If you talk to them they can tell you who to get in contact with they are actually very helpful. If you have a physician here it would be a good idea to try to get them involved.

Your project is very interesting to me especially since I am a premed major, interested in dentistry. There are so many problems in our nation’s health care system, and I am happy to know that we have qualified college students interested in helping find ways to make improvements. Your project sounds great. I wish you much success.
