To: Paisley Robertson
Thank you for your comment. It feels really good to get some feedback for this project. It is good to know that I am making a difference in people’s lives and that I have the support of my fellow schoolmates. There is many people that need help out there in the world, so the more help I can get the more people will be reached. Thanks again.
To: Aspen Texada
I am hoping for this project to have a long time effects also. I was tired of seeing the destruction of Hurricane Katrina on my way to school and hearing how people still have not rebuild their homes and are not able to come back to the city. I wanted to help in anyway I can. I think people always have a way to support themselves, but they just needed a little help to get started. I hope that I can make a difference in people lives and be able to get people back on their feet from whatever destructive event caused them to fall. Thank you for your comment and your support. It is very much appreciated.
To: Gerald Smith
Thanks. I am hoping that this project can get some international attention. I would love to be able to help people miles away from me, but at this time I don’t have to man power to do so. I am hoping that the people I wrote to in my previous blog would respond to my letters. This could give me the opportunity to make this an international project. But for right now, I will continue to help the people here in New Orleans get back on their feet. The project has moved to Houston, Texas through some help of some friends. There is great possibilites that this project will eventually be worldwide. Thank you for your support and good luck on your project.
To: Jada Etienne
Thank you for your support and your comments. It is good to know that what I am doing is making a difference and that people do appreciate this. I would have never been involved in the rebuilding of New Orleans if I didn’t take this class. I am happy that I have gotten this far with the project. I am a long way from where I want to be with this project, but with time I am sure that I will get there. I not only want to secure a future for the people in New Orleans, but worldwide. Many people are living in poverty and I want to be able to help out those people also. I do plan on contininuing with this project well after this semester. I am still hoping to get some responses from any of the four people I sent letters to in my previous blog. Hopefully, with their help, I can get some national attention for the problem of poverty and help can quickly be reached to people in other nations. Thanks again for your support and good luck with your project.
To: Shanta Williams
Thank you! Your words encourages me to work harder with my project. Everyone needs someone to help them up when they have fallen. Along with Habitat for Humanity, families would be provided with a home along with living necessities. Some people feel as if being able to have a home is enough. They don’t consider everything we need in order to live a comfortable life. Everything we need comes with a price. Living in the United States, you should know that nothing is free. I wanted a way to make people smile and bring hope back into their lives. I didn’t realize that it would also bring hope into my life. I am now hoping to get responses from the letters I wrote in the previous blog and hoping that this project will go international. I believe that with everyone’s help, this project will go beyond the limits of this country but cross over to other nations. Thank you again for your uplifting words.
To: Holle Ford
Thank you for your comments. School will always have to come first above all else. This summer I will be able to devote myself to this project. Yes, I plan on continuing with this project long over the end of this semester. I finally have a way to help people and I don’t want my effort to just help one family. I would like to help many people get back on their feet. We all know that nothing every come free. Through the sweat and tears of others, families will learn that they are not tied to poverty. Poverty is a problem that can be eliminated if we just help one another. Thank you again for your comments and best of luck on your project.
To: Kimberly Granvel
Thank you for your support. I have had so many roads block so to speak in proceeding with this project. I am looking for that smooth path that you are talking about, but I know I am nowhere near it yet. I still have a long ways to go before I reach by goal of getting international attention for my project. I do believe that the problems I will eventually encounter will be more difficult than the ones before, but with the support of my family, friends, and schoolmates, I believe that any obstacles can be overcome. Once people here start to realize how beneficial my project is for other families, I am hoping that I can get some for donations so many for families can be quickly reached and more people would be able to come home. We all need a helping hand. Thank you again for your support and I hope all goes well with your project.
To: David Hewlett
Thank you. I was hoping that this project would benefit many people. Ther are so many people living in poverty. I am tired of seeing a wrecked city and I hope that my efforts can be seen from people that can get some attention on the issue at the quicker pace than I can. Doing this project has made me grown so much. I am hoping that I can get this project started internationally and be able to help people across the world. If everyone could donation one item, I believe we would have homes for everyone in the world. I do hope that this project goes beyond the walls of this city. Thank you again for comments and good luck with the progress of your project.
To: Whitney Green
Thank you for your comments. I do plan on continuing with this project after this semester ends. This summer, I will have a lot of time to devote to this project. who knows, I might be the one building the houses with Habitat for Humanity. I am trying to get some attention towards my project from the people I wrote to in my previous blog. I am still waiting on replies. I hope to get this project started internationally. The problem of poverty is so much greater than it is here in the United States. The percentage of people living in third world countries is so great that it seems impossible to reach everyone. I feel that if everyone helps, many of these people would be able to get back onto their feet. with many people getting back on their feet, the economy can increase and with that, the percentage of people living in poverty will decrease. Right now, it seems like wishful thinking, but I feel that with time anything is possible. Thank you again and good luck with your project.
Tobit was a Jew from the tribe of Naphtali. He attempted to get proper burials for fallen Jews. The king seized all this belonging and then exiled him for this. After the king’s death, he returned to his Nineveh. That night he slept in the open and became blinded when a bird’s dropping fell into his eye. Tobias, Tobit’s son, was then sent to Media to collect money that was deposited there. Raphael aided Tobias on this journey. Along the way, Tobias was attacked by a giant fish whose heart, liver, and gall bladder was then removed. When Raphael and Tobias reached Media, Raphael tells Tobias about a girl he can marry named Sarah. Raphael then instructed Tobias to burn the liver and the heart of the giant fish to drive away demons when they attack them on their wedding night. Sarah and Tobias got married and did as they were told. The demons were driven away. When Tobias and Sarah returns to Nineveh, Raphael tells Tobias to use the giant fish’s gall bladder to cure his father’s blindness and then revealed his true identity before returning to heaven. The main lesson is no one is who you expect them to be. For every good deed, you get something in return. God is always there to help you along the way. Though you might not recognize him, he is there. It is person you least it expect it to be.
The Maccabees are heroic, because the started a revolution for something they believed in. The Maccsbees was not letting anyone take away their traditions and began then Maccebeen Revolt. The Maccebees are heroic, because they stood up for what they believed and won the battle. They did not want to be oppressed by outsiders and fought back.
