My Christians believe that the world will end in their lifetimes?

To be honest I haven’t heard to many Christians talk about the world ended in their lifetime but I’m sure that there is plenty of them out their who feel that it is going to happen. Most Christians believe that the world will end in their lifetimes is because of the sinful acts that have been taken place in their society. The reason why is because of the ignorance of the people who fail to learn more about the crucifixion and suffer that Jesus went through for us. An example for why Christians would think the world will end in their lifetimes could be the war in Iraq. My question to all of is why are our people over there fighting something that should have never began in the beginning. Or what about the killing of each other over the illegal use of drugs or the inexperience of using a fire arm. Our world today is so corrupt not only to crime but also the political aspect of it all. We have all of these educated people in office who happen to make the worst decision every on what they think or shall I say know what our country needs and doesn’t need. So why wouldn’t people believe that are world will end due to all of these unethical acts of so call living. I know that it will take a lot to get people to believe otherwise but until then we should try and fix the problem of sending people over to fight in the war, and killing due to wrong doings such as illegal substances and fire arm. I wish that we as Christians didn’t have to live in a society where everything was so predictable about what was to happen next, but to just live where things are calm, cool, and collective, but if we didn’t leave in a society where things weren’t such then what kind of world would we be living in.
Bible Movie “Jeremiah”
The movie we watched in class was about Jeremiah and how things in a movie are far more different than what’s in the Bible whether they are added or delete scenes to make it more appealing to viewers. Honestly I didn’t really like the movie because I feel that religious types of movies don’t really give what actually happen during those times any justice, but to others who really don’t care about it as much would say that the movie also gave a more clear but not as accurate understanding of what really happen to Jeremiah and what people thought of him. The Bible on the other had tells you all of the accurate events of Jeremiah who was considered the spokesman for God a follower I shall say one who goes around teaching others the word of God. In the movie it was said that Jeremiah would never marry or even have a girlfriend but in the Bible nothing was ever mention about Jeremiah and a women. Jeremiah was also consider a false prophet to then men of Judah one who was telling lies about things but eventually they begin to change their thoughts about him and realize that what he was saying was actually coming true and that maybe he was a true prophet. In conclusion to the movie and story is that the king of Judah didn’t want to listen to the word of Jeremiah and soon the city was destroyed by the Babylonians. Jeremiah was then given his freedom due to his words of the gospels and so overall the movie was pretty much accurate in some aspects with the accounts of what really happen in the story of Jeremiah. In a personal view point I think Jeremiah was a very courageous man in being able to take on such a powerful position to be able to go around and speak the words of God purpose rather than caring if people called him a false prophet or not.
Overall grade for project and blog.
Ultimately I think my grade for the blog and project should be in the A- and B+ range being that I have blogged over a 1000 words and week and most of all the people in my class totally agreed with what I was trying to do as far as helping young minorities. I believe that during the whole fifteen weeks of writing blogs I have understood the readings over eighty percent of the time and for the other twenty percent I have either google searched or asked some people in my family who is familiar with Bible better than I am. I’m very confident in the work I have presented over the course of the semester especially going out and being able to help kids in the community to succeed. I’m really thankful in having a teacher like Dr. Homan and I’m not saying this because I want to pass your class I’m saying this because I have done something that I never thought of doing I mean I like to volunteer but not to where I really had to take pride in what I was doing because there was kids who was depending on me and all of the others to believe in them. I hope that my project and blog shows how much dedication I have to helping others even though sometimes I got off track with helping I never stop caring about what had to be done whether I had thirty minutes or four hours. However, I’m still confident in what I have done this semester and I hope my grade will reflect what I have done in a good way that will satisfy me in everyway possible. So to you Dr. Homan thank you for this wonderful 1120 Theology experience of being able to reach out to others and to also re- explain what we have learn from different lectures to help us to understand exactly what was meant by the discussion.
