Problems facing today’s world

Today’s world is full of problems from terrace to genocide in Africa and poverty. Today’s world is almost a ticking time bomb waiting for the next big event to happen. In my opinion people who join the peace core or hope for world peace are wasting their time on something that will never happen. I believe that there is no such thing as perfect world. People will always find some thing to fight about or try to make one group supper to other if not by race then by religion. Three main problems I believe in the world today are the miss education of youth, gang and gang related violence, and the degradation of young woman by males. I chose all three of these problems that deal with youth, because our youth are the leaders of tomorrow and if they can not read or get some type of college experience they will not be able to keep up with the rest of the world. Today’s world is more technologically advanced than ever. At one point in time just graduating from high school was big thing. A man could go far with just his GED. But with today technology a High School Degree does not cut it any more. Jobs are looking for people with college experience the more college the better. Children should not just go to school because they have to but cause they want to learn. No most kid do not want to lean but at the same time most adults do not want to learn. But how can you expect a child to want to learn when some teacher do not even no what they are talking about, or take pride in embarrassing a child. Instead of just holding a child back year after year why not sit down and find out why he/she is not picking it up as fast as everyone else. No child wants to feel dumb or be separated from the rest of his/ her class.
Next I believe gangs and gang related violence is starting to grow into a bigger problem. At first no one really cared about it long as it did not come in their neighborhood, but not it starting to affect everyone. In almost every city in the United Sates there are some types of gangs if not 1 or 2 or more. Gangs are taking over the streets selling drugs and hanging on the corners. Children are being recurred into gangs at young and younger ages. The only place gang have our children is one of three places jail, selling drugs or six feet under. Gangs are to the point where in certain places you van not wear certain colors.
The final thing I believe is a big problem in the world is the degrading of woman through words like bitches and whores and music videos. According to the dictionary a bitch is defined as a female dog. Women are neither a bitch nor a whore so for men to call a woman these names he is defacing her character. Women were born with a name just like everyone else and at no time is it ever appropriate to call a woman out side of her name. Yes some woman have no care for their body and dance half naked to impress men but that some woman not all. And if older men do not let young men or little boys know that it wrong or correct them when they say derogatory words towards woman how will they ever know it not acceptable.
None of the problem I have written about in this journal really affect the field of work I hope to one day enter, but they are problem I fell needed to be addressed. These problems are more for people who want to become Social Workers or Councilors. I think that is easy for any body to be able to talk about terrorism or hunger and poverty but what about the problems that don’t seem big now but later can be life changing, the problems right in front of you face that you see everyday.
If there was one problem I would like to change or make a difference in it would be dealing with gangs and gang violence. Kids just don’t join gangs for a reason. I think gangs are only form because children have nothing to do with extra time or they want be cool. It easer picking on someone else rather than someone else picking on you. By opening recreation centers or homework programs giving children a place to go and be equals they would fell as though they were part of something important and not need to be part of a gang.

Merneptah Stele is a monument that explains what happened in Merneptah’s victories over many cities. It is very important for three main reasons. The first is that tells the Egyptian history. And the second is because it is the first mention of Israel outside of the bible. When translation, it said that Israel was made up of traveling people (nomadic). Finally it is also important because it gives you an idea of how some of the stories of the victories could be exaggerated. It shows that these writings are not always accurate. Like when king say they may have kill 3000 when it was only 300.

In Hebrew the word bible means book. There is no one definite bible. In diffrent places the bilbe means diffent things to diffrent people. The bible as we know is a book of combined chapter giving examples on how we should live our lives.in the orginal scips there where no chapter such as Gennises or Exodus. A person can not rally take the bible at face value because it has been written over and over and change a little each time in order to get the editors point across. The bible is very often distorted Catholics and Baptist bible are very much different and they both are Christian who should share the same books.The final teason i say there is no bible is because there is no one original book it can be traced back to.

In the two different version of Babe Ruth although the same story was being told it was portrayed differently. In one story the little boy was sick in dieing in the bed at his home and in the other he was sick in the hospital. In both stories of Babe Ruth intentions were good. He unlike most superstars today took time out of his schedule to care about a stranger he never meet rather than soak in his own glory. During the time of Babe Ruth people saw him as almost a god. Babe Ruth Story is much like the bible. The only people who know the truth are the people who were at the event. It is like the original story remains the same but as the stories are told over time it is altered to what might make it sound even better.
