Blackboard: Using Assignment and Plagiarism Detection Tools (Turnitin and SafeAssign)
Simplify course assignment collection, verification and management

Do you collect student assignments through email or in person? Do you need an easy way to set and manage deadlines? Are you concerned about plagiarism? Don't clutter your inbox, save trees, and check student work for authenticity by using Blackboard's assignment submission tools!

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to use the Assignment tool to collect and manage assignments as well as use the Turnitin anti-plagiarism tool to discourage plagiarism. We will also discuss how Turnitin differs from the SafeAssign anti-plagiarism tool.

Dr. Bonnie Noonan (English) uses Turnitin in her classes. She will explain how she uses Turnitin and share her experiences with using Turnitin.

Note: The digital dropbox is not available in Blackboard Learn 9.1. The Assignment tool replaces the digital dropbox. In the workshop we will discuss how to exchange files with students using the Assignment tool.
