RTLT: Reading as Service
Reading as Service

Read Today, Lead Tomorrow is all about helping Xavier students become more active and engaged readers. Xavier being Xavier, though, the plan also contains a component that focuses on using reading as a means of helping our community through literacy-based service projects. This is not so simple as it may seem, though, coming up with such projects. Some faculty have developed creative ways of meeting this challenge.

Dr. Mark Gstohl (Theology) has brought the Little Free Library movement to Xavier by having his students build and stock these mini book repositories and place them around the city. Dr. Gstohl will discuss how Little Free Libraries work and how he has incorporated this project into his classes.
