CAT Food

CAT Food (For Thought) is a blog which is written by the faculty and staff of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching at Xavier University of Louisiana.

We focus on a variety of topics:

• Blackboard Bits, Bytes, and Nibbles provides guidance and practical information on using Blackboard. Managing your course management system before it manages you!
• Service Learning Lynx collects pointers to material around the web on the subject of service learning.
• Sociable Feast is a collection of notes and links on the social media phenomenon.
• Teaching, Learning, and Everything Else is a podcast — a series of audio programs distributed over the internet. Each episode consists of a conversation with a teacher in higher education. The interviews are conducted by Dr. Elizabeth Yost Hammer, CAT Director. The production is managed by CAT Media Artist, Bart Everson.
