Bob Cowseršs essays and reviews have appeared widely in American literary magazines, including Missouri Review, Creative Nonfiction and Prairie Schooner. Cowseršs first book Dream Season, is an account of the summer he spent as an offensive lineman for the Watertown Red and Black, Americašs oldest semi-pro football team (Atlantic Monthly Press, 2004). An Academy of American Poets prizewinner and a Pushcart nominee, he holds a Ph.D. in creative writing from the University of Nebraska. He has taught in the Vermont College low-residency MFA program and is Associate Professor of English and Director of the Writing Program at St. Lawrence University. He lives on the Grasse River in Canton, New York, with his wife, Candace, and son, Jackson.
