Bruce Weigl: Bio and Bibliography
Bruce Weigl is the author of twelve collections of poetry, most recently Archeology of the Circle: New and Selected Poems (Grove Press, 1999) and After the Others (Triquarterly Press/Northwestern University Press, 1999). He has edited or co-edited three collections of critical essays and an anthology of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction about the consequences of war, Writing Between the Lines, with Kevin Bowen. His three volumes of poetry in translation include Angel Riding a Beast, poems by Liliana Ursu (Northeastern University Press), co-translated from the Romanian with the author, and Mountain River: Vietnamese Poetry from the Wars with Kevin Bowen and Nguyen Ba Chung. Weigl has been awarded a Patterson Poetry Prize, the Pushcart Prize twice, an award from the Academy of American Poets, a Yaddo Foundation Fellowship, and a National Endowment of the Arts grant.
