[This event encouraged me to read more current writers because] current writers are just as good as old writers.

I never knew a lot about Vietnam and the before after effects it had on a person and reading the book and meeting the writer gave me a broader perspective about the significance of the war.
I found it refreshing that different people can come together and find peace in poetry.
I learned from Mr. Weigl that other cultures can change our perspectives.
