How the Web Works: XHTML

These pages are offered in support of an informal talk I gave on September 17, 2003, as a part of an ongoing series called How the Web Works.

You can start at the very beginning or jump to the table of contents.

It's assumed that the reader has a basic working knowledge of HTML. If you're not familiar with HTML, you might wish to examine the Introduction to HTML first.

By the way, these pages use validated XHTML 1.0 Strict and Cascading Style Sheets (no JavaScript). You can check them yourself via the W3C's validator.
